Terrible customer service and an $8.00 charge to cash one of their own checks. Ridiculous

After going to this branch the first time to close my late wife's account, I was told what documentation to bring back and it could be done. My second trip back with the proper documentation, I was denied the funds. Then I was told I needed to wait 60 days. Poor employee training. Thanks for misleading me and wasting my time.

This was a convenient branch to my work, but they moved my account, without my permission to First Horizon in Cape Charles. It would then be a 90 minute, $13 drive (each way) if I ever needed to go to a branch for anything.

Surprised at all the negative reviews. There is a parking garage literally across the street.

BEWARE-Never bank with this company. They could careless about their customers or their situations. They are heartless scripted robots. The customer service and owners of this company should be ashamed of themselves. I would never use them ever and you shouldn't either you will end up with fees and fraud that they will probably not be resolved or take weeks at the least.

New to the area, got lost looking for parking, the no parking signs are small and no entirely obvious that its a "tow" parking lot, came out of the theater not 2 hours later to find the car gone. Thanks, suntrust, definitely going to recommend you to anybody. Solid 5/7.

I reiterate the MidAtlantic Towing company and Suntrust Bank are a bit ridiculous. The big green free parking sign and then the small print no parking as you come in to the parking but absolutely no signs on the spots themselves and is easy to miss when you are not from the area, it is dark, and don't want to park on the street. Then locating the number to call is only on the small sign. Then trying to get your wife, mother, two young daughters, and yourself to an off street garage where a man is screaming and swearing that the driver scratched his car and the driver is yelling back before looking “pre-existing!†Then $120 cash so they can most likely and easily underreport and pocket the cash. (Very shady). So thanks for showing my children a wonderful evening and educating them on some vulgar language and some fear. It literally seemed they were going to fight. I guess I'm from a small town that businesses are more open to a car on their lot and a littler more cordial staff. You won't see any business from me SunTrust that is for sure.

I opened a checking account on the 13th of feb. On the 18th i was notified my account was going to be cancelled due to some other circumstances. Came into SunTrust to get my money back they tell me they are sending me a check for 400 dollars that i put in the account. Which i have to wait another week to receive my money. It is now the 25 and i was just notified my check just went our Friday on the 22nd leaving me to wait another week for my cash money that i gave to open the account. I'm on disability and receive one check a month and can't afford for them to hold 400 dollars for two weeks. It has caused me to borrow money from family and friends.

Don't use SunTrust Bank. They have contracted with an evil towing company to tow your car, if you use their parking lot on Saturday night. The towing company extorts $120 in cash from you to get your car back.
