This place is amazing!!! It was my first time to set foot inside and Mrs. Kwon greeted me. It was so pleasant to chat with her. She gave me superb, professional customer service that I have not gotten on the economy for a long time. Her products she has to offer are endless and beautifully displayed. I most definitely recommend this store if you want an awesome cultural, shopping experience!??

The lady was so nice! I got 2 items and she gave me a little sticker and face mask as an extra, in addition to the items I bought!

We just fell in love with this local store! Hand down the nicest people around! I had amazing service and there is a great selection! My kids are in love with the Pokémon and Hello Kitty here! It’s not like the generic items you’ll find in target or Walmart

The cutest store i’ve found on Warwick and the owner has always been so welcoming and helpful! I would definitely recommend for cutesy/Sanrio/Korean aesthetic treats but the store is much bigger than the video attached and carries so many authentic Korean products!

The couple was so amazing. They stayed open a little long to let my son pick up a gift. Amazing people.

Reports of this shop's closure are incorrect: it was a temporarily closed for remodeling and has reopened as of October 2019. The interior of this shop has been upgraded and streamlined to be nicer than before. Sun World has evolved into a small Korean-style boutique shop. Inside is a wide variety of clothing, shoes, beauty products, herbs, and accessories. Nearly everything is imported, mostly from Korea with some supplies from Japan or China. The items that aren't imported are made in-store or sourced locally. This shop is owned by a husband/wife pair. The husband makes pottery and the wife is into herbalism and traditional medicine. All the herbs and beauty products are in limited quantities which leads to a high turnover and better freshness in general. Nothing gets stale here and all of it is well-packaged to prevent breakage. If you want a smaller quantity of something that comes in a multi-pack (ex: the box holds three containers but you need just one), ask the owner and you might be able to get it. If you're not sure what something does, just ask the wife and she will tell you all about it. She's very knowledgeable and friendly. There is an especially large variety of ginseng products including dried roots for sale. These aren't cheap, but you really do get what you pay for. For example, I bought a bag and was very pleased: they tasted sweetly herbal like licorice and didn't have that "dirty sock" thing going on that poor quality ginseng can get. A tablespoon of roots brewed up three pots of good ginseng tea. The bag is barely dented. The bag cost me $65, but I'm estimating this will break down to about 0.65 cents per pot of tea or less. The clothing is priced similarly to a department store but is of much better quality. It's all women's clothing: sorry fellas. I saw no cheap fabrics and no flimsy seams: these outfits are made to last. The sizing has improved and goes up to a US women's large in most cases, though some pieces (especially handmade ones) exist in only one size as only one exists. Oh yes, I spotted a few items with zero tags outside of the price tag. They were handmade store originals. Korean shoes are on offer as well to complete the look. If the shop isn't busy, both owners will offer to assist you as much as possible. The wife will even help you pick out and try on clothes. And I do mean it: she'll scurry about looking for ideas if you tell her what you like and she isn't shy to help you put on and take off things. Wear either something layered with a form-fitting bottom layer or a slip with undergarments underneath when you try things on. Also, the owner wife will haggle with you on prices if you are buying a few big ticket clothes items. Don't be shy to ask about a discount if you have your eye on something, especially if it's priced $100 or higher. Of course they still sell rice cookers, beds, and other household goods. This isn't the focus of the shop anymore for the most part and the few household items are all luxury goods such as a massaging bed, imported charcoal soap, and toothbrushes with gold embedded in the bristles. The gifts section has shrunk and that's a good thing. Sun World is a wonderful place to find unique clothing, quality herbs, and luxurious daily use goodies. Save up some money and treat yourself to things that will make your friends jealous!
