How is the store called the fresh market when you first walk in you smell garbage. You get rotten seafood, spoiled fruit and old meat as soon as you enter the store. I went over to the fruit and the bag of grapes had bugs, the fruit that’s cut up already had mold. Why is it Called the fresh market when it’s not fresh???? Beautiful store though but they need to get a handle of the stinky smell. Makes you want to not shop there.

First, I love Fresh Market. Today I got all the delicious deli treats I wanted...but the bakery no longer carries the amazing pumpkin cheesecake (my very favorite guilty pleasure)! Please bring it back to Newport News, Virginia store

My shopping experiences at The Fresh Market in Newport News are always positive. The cashiers are friendly and helpful. I can always count on fresh produce and good quality meat and seafood. I really like the meat department. I know I’m getting the best beef, chicken, pork and seafood. The customer service is top notch!

Kinda like Whole Foods, good but expensive. They put old pasta salad on top of new, very noticeable color difference.

Even though they didn't have what I was looking for, they sent me to another store that did. Excellent customer service!

You need employees in the deli department. Staffing is frequently limited when I visit about two times per week. Might consider Harris Teeter for my cold-cuts. HKH

Great selection of fresh whole coffee beans and chocolates. Albeit on the pricey side, they do have more refined products. They do have fresh bread “baked daily”, however it doesn’t taste anything special for the price ($5.49 for 1 lb of sourdough). It has a nice range of wines and beers.

Although this is a pricier store than a few other grocery stores- you definitely get a great quality here. Their fresh produce is always ripe and well displayed. I like to get my coffee here as they have a great seasonal selection already ground or you can grind in the store. On this visit I got a seasonal offering of their Caramel Bread Pudding coffee. Be careful to see if you're getting regular or decaffeinated though- the decaf will have a green label on it.

One of the bigger "international@ markets. This place has the Mochi Mochi store which serves great Mochi donuts, boba and coffee drinks. As a market, the prices are great, you can but large shrimp for $6.99 a pound! Tons of fresh vegetables and fruits. They have great sale just like the day I visited, boxes upon boxes of good brand Mochi were on sale for $2.99 a box, containing at least 8 Mochi pieces. They also carry my fave corn nuts in all different flavor such as bbq, garlic, chicken, adobo, etc.
