Happy customer.I did get charged for a nail trim that didn't happen, understanding though!! Since it was a full day of checkups, shots, and blood work.Called about the nail change and was told, just call and schedule, and I would be taken care of.Thank you Winston & Debr

Unfortunately, what used to be a very good location has gone downhill even admitted by their own doctors. I wish them well but appreciate the honesty when being told the place is a dumpster fire. Those were not my words

Too busy and not enough employees. Couldn't get in to see them when my dog couldn't stop sneezing and I've been taking her there for 4 years. Always a wait with appointment. This goes for all of them in the Tidewater area. That was the last straw for me. I switched away from Banfield completely.

Each time we take our puppy here she comes home with something. After her first visit, at 12 weeks old, we were on the way home from Banfield when we discovered she was covered in ticks!A couple days after her 16 week visit she got kennel cough! Our puppy still hasn’t interacted or gone outside the house / yard to have picked any of this up from other sources.

Never have I encountered someplace where the communication is so awful. Just a few days before my cats’ first appointment I received a confirmation phone call regarding their basic check-up, plus confirmation for some sort of sickness/injury appointment for one of the cats that I had never scheduled! Fortunately I was able to cancel the latter.Come the day of the actual appointment, my partner picked up our two cats in the afternoon and was told we needed to come back on Tuesday to pick up the 6-month supply of Revolution for cat A because it was out of stock. Later that afternoon I’m on the phone with the doctor and she tells me that my partner “forgot” said cat’s “goodie bag” & that everything we needed was, in fact, in stock, paid for, and that we just needed to come get it.This morning I went in to drop off cat B for a follow-up procedure and asked to pick up the “goodie bag” for cat A. The nurse comes out and tells me that nope, what he needs is still out of stock, but they’ll deliver it to us as soon as it does come in.Once they take cat B to the back the nurse tells me that she’ll need to be sedated for her procedure (after I was told by the doctor that sedation was dangerous for my cat’s condition), and that the whole procedure will cost about $200 more than the price I was initially quoted. From there she says that they’re moving at a good pace this morning and cat B should be sedated and undergoing her procedure within the hour. This was at 8:15 in the morning.By 3:30 I still hadn’t gotten the call for pick-up, so I decided to call them and check on cat B’s status. I was told she had only just been sedated and was about to undergo the procedure—meaning that my cat had just been sitting there for 7 hours. No reason was provided for the delay.Icing on the cake: again, we had already paid for cat A’s 6-month supply of Revolution after the first appointment, which is on the invoice and which you’d think they’d have digital records of on their own computers. Evidently not because we were charged again for it on today’s invoice.I understand that mistakes happen and miscommunication happens, but to have this extent of it across our first 2 appointments over the course of just FIVE days is ridiculous. When it comes to the health and well-being of people’s pets with appointment costs that run in the hundreds of dollars, you’d expect that the staff would be less incompetent. My partner and I plan on continuing with the care that Banfield as a whole provides, but certainly not at this location.

NEVER WILL I TAKE ANY OF MY ANIMALS TO ANOTHER BANFIELD HOSPITAL. My puppy was healthy before he went and got vaccines from this location. He was vaccinated on the 26th and passed away on Banfield’s floor on the 6th and NO ONE COULD GIVE ME AN ANSWER . My family is devastated and is wanting answers. We were asked to reach out Via Facebook or Instagram AND NO ONE HAS YET REACHED BACK OUT TO US!! This is all a nightmare.. ?

I want to thank Banfield for their passion and concern of my Boxer, Max. I have been with Banfield since Max was a puppy, 9 years. Here recently, Max had been sick, we called banfield and they said they could not get him in until July 31. So, we ended taking him to Hope Springs Veterinary, which got us in right away. Unfourtley we had to put max down yesterday, due to bone cancer, which had spread to his brain. Thank you Banfield for your concern, this place is a friggin joke. I have been trying to cancel my plan, with no avail at this point. I do not, and would not recommend Banfield at all!!!!

This location took very good care of my two small dogs. Conveniently located in my favorite Petsmart, the parking and access to the center was very easy.Staff was friendly, informative, and kind. When I came back to pick my dogs up, one of the staff even helped me bring them to my car. Above and beyond service!Highly recommend this location and highly recommend their insurance program. Really comes in handy!

Took my dog treated one their clinics for infection, began prescription regiment and died overnight. Finding happens more and more locals not only corporate franchisees offer service and take money if dare say anything about work plenty other consumer attend to have good day, still standing strong without apology nor even attempt correct issue. Luckily just another statistic of karen whine about private entities proud win-win.

I brought my Jack Russell there for care, and he was diagnosed with invertebrate disc disease.. The vet gave me the news with the warmth a mechanic would explaining that you need new tires for your car. Over the next 48 hrs paralysis spread through out the lower half of his body and we watched him cry out in terrible pain. His mother called the vet, explaining his terrible suffering and asked if we could expedite the surgery. The vet told us to wait first and give the meds a chance to work. She offered no other options for pain management. When his suffering was at it's worse she was un reachable. So we had to beg the other vet at Banfield to offer a solution to his pain. He gave us the go a head to give more gabapentin. Long story short we brought him to a vet in Richmond and he was put to rest, but I blame Banfield for not at least making his last few days more comfortable.
