Today's experience was not good. The guy you have on the register today should be retrained or removed from the register. He's rude , he has particular female customers come in that he doesn't mind holding the line up for
His demeanor is off because he ignores any comments by saying next customer when he doesn't want to address a customer. This is what he did to me earlier today. He charged me me 3 different prices for a door dash that resulted in a decline for 1 6 pack of paper towels and a bottle of Swiffer/ gain floor cleaner. The first charge was $47 , the 2nd was $35 and after I was forced to contact support and having to go to the end of a long line he charged $24 . I asked him numerous times why were the charges different and he ignored Everytime I asked until the final time with a brush off he mumbled he doesn't know. He totally disregarded me and my issue and I don't appreciate it. In my opinion if you can't relate appropriately with customers, especially about chargesthen he shouldn't be at a register. This is my 1rst attempt ????

I had a horrible experience on 1-20-24 at 4:25 PM. Trans: 39046.Cashier Katina had a horrible attitude. She told me that I had to pick which coupon I wanted to use. I couldn’t use the $5 off of $25 on Saturday and a clipped coupon. I asked her politely why and she stated she didn’t know why and made the experience harder then what it needed to be. In a climate like today I know it’s hard to find good help. But my goodness, I wasn’t asking for something that was impossible or out of her job description. She was mad I asked her to use coupons to purchase. I asked to speak to a manager but the manager wasn’t in. I tried calling the store and the phone continues to ring busy. That’s probably why Katina feels like she can do whatever she wants to do. I ended up going to another DG in Chesapeake and had no issues. I didn’t even have to ask about the coupons because they were linked to my account and the cashier just used them. Hopefully, a manager or corporate sees this review and can train your employees on better customer service and how to use coupons. I do not recommend this store and would advise for you all you avoid this location.

they stay closing early everyday, the hours say they are open until 9 yet the store is never open past 8:30 and i need to get some important things im tired of wasting my time change the hours if thats the case

To the General Manager... The guy closing the store on August 2 2023 deserves a raise. Today is my second day in Virginia and i had to buy something extremely important to me and i thought you guys closed at 10. I got there and the guy met me at the door and asked me if i wanted to come in and he said "one minute' meaning he was willing to let me get what i needed before he closed. No other store or employee in my 44 years of life has done anything like this. going above and beyond to do his job and still have a great attitude about his job and towards custmers he dont even know. So, yes, This employee you have right now deserves recognition and im not talking about a simple thank you for being a Dollar General family member or a pizza party... He deserves a raise. Employees this good are seriously and extremely hard to find and you should let him know how thankful you are for having him on board.

This store doesn’t open on time. And at times the store is full of clutter on the floor as if the employees never completes stocking the floor. They could at least organize items so they are not in customer’s way while shopping when they abandon particular areas.The staff seems uninterested in assisting. Only one staff member has greeted me from the times I have visited there. The store’s selection is the best thing though. The variety of household and grocery items are quite the treat. Professionalism and customer service is a bit inconsistent but the store’s hours, pricing and selection make it worth the return trip.
