I'm a resident in pine manor, over in selby pl in Oceanview, Norfolk, Virginia. The staff annoyed their residence and don't do anything people knock at the door over here at the office and don't answer also people cry, and threaten to kill their selves their residence and don't do anything about that. I don't know if y'all need to come clean house or what someone needs to fix this plus staff gave me an attitude yesterday when I asked her about if they read the letter that the office of the department area sent them to everybody.

I use 1of 2 handicap parking spots when available at 801 Boush St in Norfolk when I go weekly for a medical appointment. Hope House Foundation is located in the same building. Today I pulled into one of the available designated handicap parking spots as my issued handicap placard allows me. I was disgusted to see that Hope House covered up the Handicap symbol and taped a sheet of white paper asking to reserve the spot for visiting nurses. I went in the building and found an employee of Hope House who said visiting nurses need the Handicap designated spot in front of the building because parking spots are limited, not because they have a placard, are disabled, or transporting someone with a placard. I would have hoped Hope House would understand the needs of the disabled individual, ADA law, Virginia law, and common sense. But no! Their representative proved they are not interested in complying with disability law or assisting those with legally validated needs. I feel sorry for anyone with any special need trying to work with or get assistance with Hope House, or just use the same parking lot.

Im so tired of what heartless hopeless world this is. They said clothing is 35% off. I to buy a hat in this place and they said a hat does not count as clothing. They insult my looks when I make the purchase. Im do tired of it. Even the house of hope is mean to me. I really needed a hat but I regret buying it.

Today I made a concerted effort to drive out of my way to take some very nice donations to the Hope House in Norfolk but was greeted with this very rude sign posted. Appears Hope House will only accept your generosity on their terms, at their convenience. I’ve never seen this type of gratitude before. BTW all the items I am donating today were new with store tags still on them. Mens, Boy’s & Women’s. Taking them to the DAV in Virginia Beach.

They are SO OVERPRICED lately. I usually do my donating and shopping here but things lately have been NOT thrift store prices. I'll be donating elsewhere till I see the pricing more appropriate. I'll keep checking in.

This organization is all about inclusion for adults with intellectual disabilities. It's so much more than a step above a group home - MUCH more!

If I could give zero I would. If you are not part of the "click" good oh boy system expect no promotion and eventually terminated. My father passed away in May 2018 I took a week off my grandma had a hip replacement in November I took a couple days off and in between from car problems to health. My car broke down in November I received a letter from my Cordinator that said if I did not have a car by January 7th I would be terminated. My cordinator said to me basically I could get a loan to get a car. It was my only job working about 24hrs a week. I live by myself pay my own bills at $10.80 an hr. So I went and purchased a new car payments for four years. February my battery died a coworker gave me a jump to go home I didn't get off until 10pm tjst night and back to work at 7am the next morning. I went to start my car it would not start nothing I called numerous people trying to find a ride but at 6:30 am nobody answered a phone. Anyways after everything was said and done they terminated me the reason because I was not reliable. Funny how they would call me to cover people's shift. DON'T WORK FOR THEM!
