I have just had the absolute worst experience in a retail store. Not only did the associate not say a word when we walked in, but I suggested to my partner that we check with her about whether a particular item was in stock and was completely ignored. She only responded to me after the second time I told her to have a good rest of her day as we were leaving (after discussing going to another site to find what we were looking for). This is NOT the way to engage or keep customers.

Went today (4/2/22) around 130 with my family (boyfriend and our 2 year old daughter) and was not addressed once. When my boyfriend asked what the hat at the top was (as we couldn’t see it because it wasn’t placed correctly) the employee (female with red braids) responded with “it’s angels”. We’ve been looking for that specific hat in MULTIPLE stores. This was the first store to have it. When my boyfriend asked for the hat, the employee looked at him and said “watch out” he didn’t hear her the first time so he responded what, she said AGAIN “ you need to watch out”. Completely disrespectful and rude! I said nevermind we’re not buying anything here and left. The “customer service” was terrible. If you don’t like your job, at least fake it until you make it. Don’t ruin other peoples experiences because of your lack of care.

Over $200 wasted for customized hats for my business. All sizes are wrong . No one answers phone at store or Coporate. Been told someone will contact me and nothing. Driven over 100 miles for same excuse

Great store with a wide variety of hats (fitted & snapback). I buy all of my New Era hats from there. I only wear the best. The only drawback is the store is rather small. If there's three or more customers in the store it's like being packed in a sardine can. I'd like to see them expand.

I have been coming to lids for years and finally decided to write a review. I mean this is the best hat store around. If you are looking for any kind of hat I would certainly come here to fulfill all your hat needs. This place is located inside the McArthur mall on the first floor. The employees in there are really helpful and helped me look for some hats and also helped me put a design on the hat. But guess what? The design was free. Only for a limited time of course. The have all the teams you are looking for and all the sports you are looking for. They also have a big selection for kids, which is a plus in my book. Depending on how many orders they have the stitching only takes about 20 minutes. I will certainly be coming back for all my hat needs.

I read that Lids was doing free embroidery to honor the late great Kobe Bryant. The promotion is any hat, and it doesn't even need to be purchased from Lids. I wasn't sure if the promotion was limited to select stores but I decided to stop by and find out. I also read about other stores outside of VA with lines outside to get their hats done, so I made sure to come by as soon as the store opened. I had my own Lakers hat, and I was greeted by Ky, who confirmed that they were doing the free embroideries. He also mentioned that they have been swamped with these requests. Luckily I came in at the right time. Ky was helpful in providing assistance with the designs available, as well as the design placement on the hat. I wasn't sure if this was something I'd have to drop off and pick up later, but Ky was able to get the finished product done in minutes. I'm so happy that Lids is offering this promotion to honor a basketball legend!
