Jenny Larsen charged me $34 to spend approximately 1 minute shaving my dog's butt without informing me of this charge and telling me after she had already done it. She also charged me $34 additional dollars to express his anal glands, which I did not ask for and was not informed about this additional charge. Neither of these things were medically necessary. I could've shaved his hind end myself and had my neighborhood groomer express his glands, as I usually do. I took Hendrix in to the office for issues with his leg/knee/joint, not to have his glands expressed. The vet clearly took advantage of me financially and I would be very hesitant as a new patient who is uninformed about services being rendered. I spoke with Annette, the office manager, on 11/20/23 and she refused to acknowledge that this is an unsound business practice, and instead clung to her position that it was okay. It's so hard to find businesses these days that care more about doing what is right vs. being right. It saddens me that people are so greedy that they have to result to shady business practices to essentially extort money from their customers. Shame on Jenny and shame on Annette! Enjoy your $68 that you stole from me! I will be taking my dog to a more ethical practice going forward. Beware of this business! Good doctors don't steal from their customers.

If I could give ZERO, I would. My cat is dead. Your staff that I spoke to on the phone was as rude as can be when asked about any paperwork on him your clinic may have had, In which there wasn’t much.Under circumstances of losing a home, a mother, amongst other things, I hadn’t been able to continue my cats up keep. He was dying while I was on the phone trying to get this information. This woman made me feel as if I was the worst pet owner possible for the lack of. I had my fur baby for over 13 years. And as I have to put him to sleep, I felt completely shamed for things beyond my control. So, whoever was the receptionist on February 16 2023. Thank you for making that day so much worse for me.

This place is a scam. They didn’t treat my dog correctly but keeps telling to come back if the condition does not improve. As advised by the vet, I called and told them that the condition is still the same and to pick up another med, charge me an arm and a leg again for something that doesn’t work.

My first visit to this facility was a couple of years ago. The male doctor was completely void of compassion as he coldly recommended euthanasia for my seemingly healthy pet. Not one word of comfort or caring as I cried my eyes out. Leaving there with an empty pet carrier, I felt as if no one there cared as long as they were paid.I tried this facility once again recently with my other cat, when I learned it was now totally run by women, hoping it would be a different experience. But the vet who examined my cat’s ears for mites - since I was concerned he wouldn’t stop scratching at his ears - quickly concluded he did not have mites, but fleas, and prescribed flea meds. I had many questions, but the vet had one foot out the door and I felt very rushed. Like the other doctor I had seen, this vet was not a caring person. And 3 months into the flea treatment my cat was still scratching his ears. After two messages to the facility with no response, I decided to never go back. I found another vet who was exactly what we needed; thorough, caring, informative, and not rushed. My cats’ ears were both infected and he is now being treated with the appropriate medicine.

It was ok I think they can improve their service. I definitely will not take my dog again to that place.

I have taken my dogs to Dr. Jenny Larsen at Pocoshock Animal Hospital for 30 years. Dr. Larsen has always been kind and caring toward my dogs, and she has always been supportive when any of our dogs has to make their final visit. She is open to alternative treatments and is willing to make cost-efficient referrals. The facility is always clean, and the hospital is certified by the AAHA.

They care. They take their time to explain what's going on with your pet, and educate the pet owner on how holistic pet care can be achieved.
