Hey Smarties! We’re back with another Honest Review! This location is infested with mice and rats, probably because it’s completely self storage there is no attendee on site. Our first unit was not unlocked yet, because no one had been on premises to get it ready. The next one had mice in it. There’s a live assistant that can have all your electronic paperwork correct but if no one comes on site you’re just bouncing around hoping someone cleaned a unit. We would not recommend this location Smarties!

Phone customer service is lacking. They also do not communicate about changes after you have made your rental purchase.

A little farther than what I wanted but it was like easy quick even though management not on site easy to do transactions with them just give em a call.

Month to month lease also means they can increase your monthly fee at any time. I have been disappointed of how it has increased in the last two years, but now it went up another 24% and they won't return my VM's over a 10 day span so I ended up "chatting" on the website and their response was a new rental for my unit would be $125 more than what I would be paying. On time payments don't mean anything to this company. The building I am in is experiencing a lot of maintenance issues so I guess when the rolling door falls down on someone they'll just let their lawyers deal with it.

It was easy to do with Shawn’s help to get a storage unit for us. Highly recommend dealing with her she is on point, and gets it done.

Can't get anyone to call me. The messaging site is the worse I have ever seen. I have been in my unit a while and now it is going up 35.00 extra a month. Folks when I moved in the unit were very nice and helpful but, now this is terrible service. If you are working from home, you could return phone calls to answer my questions. I dont recommend this storage unit.Thanks, Kim returned my call and is helping me.

If I could give negative stars I would. Public Storage has been an absolute nightmare from the moment they got my credit card information and I became a customer. I have 2 units at 10755 Midlothian Turnpike in Richmond. Almost every single time I've been over there, there is no one working, even after waiting for over an hour. I've called the direct line to this location, left messages, multiple times, NO ONE has ever answered the phone or called me back. Not once. On Saturday, 2/27/21 I had movers scheduled to move all my belongings into the units I rented. About 30 minutes before they got there, I found that one of my units had been locked by someone at public storage. and of course, there was NO ONE on site to fix this. I called every number for Public Storage I could find, and since becoming a customer, whenever you call any number associated with public storage, it routes you to an automated message with several options, including one that transfers you to the leasing office for your location, presumably so you can talk to a person. This is a great idea in theory, however NO ONE HAS EVER ANSWERED THE PHONE AT THIS LOCATION OR EVER RETURNED ANY OF MY CALLS. So, calling public storage on the day that I was supposed to move was totally futile. I had to drive around looking for other public storage locations, hoping I could find someone who worked for the company. IS THIS HOW PUBLIC STORAGE THINKS THEIR CUSTOMERS SHOULD BE TREATED? After miraculously finding Kim, at another location (who doesn't manage that location but by some miracle happened to be there), she graciously offered to come over and unlock my unit. Today 3/2/21, I called PHILIP AQUILINA DISTRICT MANAGER for public storage (by the way, I only got his phone number from another angry woman who was standing outside the leasing office trying to get in touch with anyone from public storage. the only reason she was able to speak to a person was because she is NOT a customer!), he was extremely condescending, blamed Covid for no one being there this past Saturday (he claims that he can't say whether there was a covid exposure because of HIPPA - yet I've seen COUNTLESS businesses post signs on their doors or advertise publicly that they are closed temporarily due to an employee having or being exposed to Covid, so I'm calling BS on this excuse), said there was nothing he could do, and OFFERED ME 20 DOLLARS FOR MY TROUBLE, AND FOR THEIR OWN MISTAKE THEY MADE BY LOCKING MY UNIT. He absolutely refused to make the situation right any other way. I suggested one month of rent (which is barely much more than 20 dollars) and he absolutely refused. Philip was rude, unhelpful, and made a bad situation worse. I tried to write a review directly to Public Storage via their website, and when I submitted the review it said it was blocked and I could contact their IT department for help. Give me a break! DO NOT USE PUBLIC STORAGE. IF I COULD REVIEW PHILIP AQUILINA personally I would. He provided the worst customer service imaginable, his "apology" was totally insincere ( Kim, who unlocked my unit last Saturday, not even the district manager, was way more sympathetic and understanding - PHILIP was defensive from the moment I started speaking). AWFUL COMPANY, PHILIP IS AWFUL, -10000 STARS, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
