Worst customer service. In the past, staff have not returned a call and lied. Most recently, they did not provide an exact APR for a car loan that was (initially) approved and did not bother to ask for additional information that could have helped to clarify that that APR, despite my two requests. Complained to Glenn Birch, director public and media relations, who forwarded my complaint to Heather Taylor, Director, Consumer Lending Processing. She emailed and called me, and very graciously accepted that I had been provided with poor customer service and offered to rectify the situation. Wish employees working directly with customers were as diligent as Glenn and Heather.

For me the worst bank I've banked with. They were the first bank I ever used and I once viewed them as a good bank until I started having financial issues due to losing a job. That's when they showed their true colors lol smh. As a supposedly "by the people and for the people " or whatever lie they say they could care less about you and what you maybe going through, they just want your money. They pretty much harass you with calls and letters about how you owe them and they'll never forget blah blah and then they take you to court. Oh and lastly what's customer service? They don't know, most of them have nasty attitudes as if you owe them personally! They talk down on you as if some of them aren't probably struggling themselves smh. The worst and nastiest person I've dealt with is James H in recovery, the worst and so condescending. He and I have actually argued a few times, where is your so called professionalism? Happiest day of my life was when I paid them their money and was able to say GOOD BYE for good.

VCU need to stop praying on college students and less fortunate people giving customers credit and loans otherwise would be rejected at a traditional bank take the good advice you would get from a traditional bank and work on your credit like that they can help you better in diffrent ways without putting you in debt with credit cards and loans there ATM at j seargent Reynolds on E pharam rd needs to be removed it's not good for the students half of them already are trying to Pay back student loans

This is such a terrible organization with terrible practices. If you think this would be a nice, local, safe haven from the big bank corporations then think again! They are literally WORSE!! They are waiting to CAPITALIZE on their customers.They do not care about their community or customers when they wrongfully take money. Customer service is a JOKE! They once told me the information I'm seeing on my account is not what what it actually means but when I say so I'm not seeing truthful information they tell me it is truthful? What?! They once told me they could not reverse a nsf fee because they reduced one 2 YEARS AGO, that was caused by them. They do not listen to their consumers, I've complained so many times about accessible locations and they have don't nothing but put a place where there's already a place nearby! I'm so unsatisfied with my experience it hurts!

Be very careful with this institution! Their record keeping and notes are horrible. Had to file a complaint with the State Corporation Commission in regards to their credit card services. Their auto loan section was pretty decent, but I will say keep your own notes on transactions!

Stay away from this organization. As a small business owner trying to survive a financial crisis due to a pandemic called Covid these people slapped me with 2 warrants in debt. After numerous calls to them to explain based upon the nature of my business it was almost impossible to conduct my line of business in homes and generate revenue to pay my obligations they were nasty. There was no understanding. They said we tried to work with you during the early stages of Covid but since you could not agree to our terms we have to file the warrants. I stated to them Covid has only gotten worse and they turned a deaf ear. They said when do you think you can make payments? My response can you tell me when Covid will end?

Horrible customer service. I've been trying to get VACU to correct a Deed of Trust for 6 months. NO ONE will take responsibility for their error and get this corrected. Time for dump this bank!
