The overall experience of getting a 125 gallon filled propane tank delivered is about 4 stars. The people answering the phones and the guy who actually delivered and set up the tank were top notch. However, Suburban's automated caller didn't actually confirm the scheduled delivery about until 10 minutes AFTER the delivery guy was already here (luckily I was actually at home then). It was also confusing that the tank was not actually full when delivered and they stated that I still had to pay the full contracted amount. To add to the confusion, when Suburban did came out and fill the tank the next week, they left a bill stating how much I owed for the tank fill up. The friendly staff who answered the phones said that I could ignore the fill up bill because it was covered in the original contracted amount that I had already paid. All in all, the Suburban staff were great, but their overall process in delivering a new filled tank is somehwat wonky and quite confusing.

This place is an absolute joke. We scheduled the service in early December for January 20th because that was the soonest they could get here. At the time we had 30 gallons of propane so we used it sparingly. They told me someone would be in touch with me a few days before the service but no one ever called. I called on January 17th to make sure we were still on the schedule for the 20th and they verified that we were.No one ever called or showed up on the 20th, so I called around 3:30 to get an ETA. They said “someone from the local branch would call” but of course they never did.I called back on Monday to see what happened and they said “they had some things come up so they couldn’t come out to my house.” I told them we were switching propane providers because of their terrible service/no communication and they insured me someone would be here on the 25th.They did arrive on the 25th like they said, finally. The technicians said a driver would deliver the propane on the 26th but of course, no one showed up or called. So once again, I call and try to get an ETA and spoke to the rudest lady yet. I was explaining my situation and she said “long story short we don’t consider gas logs a primary means of heat.” Keep in mind at this point we have 0 propane as well as a newborn.So finally they ensured me the delivery would be tomorrow the 27th of course. After all we did pay for all of their “services” if that’s what you want to call them.Don’t bother sending me the “send your address, email, and contact number to customer service email so they can address the issue.” They don’t address anything. We tried that before this review. This place is a joke and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. The only reason we are still waiting is other companies can’t fill the tank because we don’t own it. The tank was here when we purchased the house and other local propane companies are out of propane tanks currently is THE ONLY reason we are still waiting. 0 starts if it was an option. This post will probably delay or propane yet again or maybe something else “comes up” and they can’t come out to the residence.

My 84 year old grandmother has been waiting 2 years to have her propane fixed and suburban propane has refused to help even tho she is paid in full. And we will be filing a claim with Better business we are done playing

It look forever to get a tank set up - one month to be exact. However my tank was filled the next day. The tech was great.

Installed a whole house in Aug 2022. Took for ever to get a site inspection which the office thought had already been done. Site inspection was done in Sept 2022. We kept calling the office & heard numerous reasons why nothing had been done: sickness, vacation, etc. Even got a bill for tank rental-the one we did not have. Finally got the tank installed on 11-7-2022. Company has ONE installer for western Virginia, eastern Kentucky & Eastern Tennesse. Company needs to hire & train more personnel. Company needs to chose between good company service & the all mighty BUCK. Oh, & for reference Electrician for Generac contacted Suburban 2 times & know one had ever called him back. Electrician came on Nov 11 to hook up Generac. The generator has a battery for testing purposes. The unit had set so long the battery was DEAD. Use Suburan Propane only if you plan on waiting For 3 months or so.
