I was a bit hesitant when I read reviews for this branch. I still decided to give a shot and got there to open a new bank account.
Fortunately, the team helped me to open account for me and I left quite satisfied. I really like their online customer support service.

I'm always a bit nervous whenever I have to go inside and speak with a representative, but everyone I've interacted with here has always been great. Unsure if he's still here, but Austin was my favorite teller, he's very personable and kind.
The staff makes whatever I need easy and painless to get. I think the rest of the bad reviews are just people who expect more than they should.
This is a great bank!

I called Capital One’s main number to ask how I could exchange dollars for euros. They told me to call my closest branch (Oakton) and gave me this branch’s phone number. I called it and was told I can come in anytime to exchange dollars for euros, that they always had plenty on hand. I told them that online it said I needed to preorder them, but the rep insisted for me to just come in. I told them that it’s a 1hr drive total for me so could they please check this info with a supervisor so I didn’t waste my time. I was placed on hold and was then told yes I can come in and I don’t preorder. I asked what the fee was for the exchange and they said I could ask by calling the Oakton branch and gave me the number, but I pointed out to them that the phone number they were giving me for the Oakton branch was the one I was currently calling and it was actively showing on my phone as the one I was in communication with at that moment. He said he thought there was no fee but just come in and I’ll get the euros. I put my trust in this rep about the euro exchange because he insisted so many times it would be fine, I went to the branch the day before my trip to exchange dollars for euros, but the bankers at the desk said that it had to have been preordered and they didn’t have any euros to give me. What horrible customer service I received over the phone and a complete waste of my day! And while it may not have been someone physically in this branch, this is the branch I called and I have no control over who the call is transferred to within Capital One. I would give 1 star but I’m giving 2 stars only because the guys at the desk were nice and apologetic on behalf of Capital One for their customer service’s error.

I really appreciate my local branch on Chain Bridge road. The online banking part of CapOne is okay (same as other banks) but the in-person customer service at this branch is great. This is where I go for scout troop banking, to get coins for the tooth fairy, for notary services, etc. Everyone's always extremely helpful.

As a business owner, customer service, genuine customer service where you can hear and see the individual cares about their customers and loves to help, is rare.
I just experienced probably one of the best examples of customer service I have seen in a long while. Hasih was amazing. He was so helpful with the customers before me, helped his team member with a costumer who had an issue, all the while keeping his composure and professionalism at top notch.
I appreciate Capital One for having him as a part of their team. Very great employee to keep around and promote. To actually have him train/teach others would not be a bad idea either.

I’ve been a customer of Chevy Chase/Capital One Bank for over 30 years. I recently opened an account to receive funds from Fairfax County on behalf of my daughter with special needs so she can enroll in a program. I needed an account verification letter which they refused to provide. They told me to “print out a Direct Deposit form” and I told them the county won’t accept that. There was nothing else they could do unless I wanted to wait 30 days for a deposit verification letter. Unbelievable. I plan to close every one of my accounts at Capital One.

I wish there were an option for zero rating but unfortunately one star is the lowest option to pick. For the sake of your time, use another Capital One branch and not the Oakton/Vienna Branch. In this branch there are some associates with not enough training who simply make mistakes that would cause you extra and unfair charges. Then the burden is on you to make several phone calls and spend hours of your time to fix the issue and possibly get a refund. Capital One should provide enough training to the staff who are sitting there and taking care of international transactions. Very disappointing and unacceptable.
