I recently took my adult kids to Onancock for a vacation and we stopped in Danny Doughty's vibrant studio. We all three were immediately charmed by Danny and his work. My son (24) pondered for a day or so and decided to make a purchase. I was so proud of Max for making that decision, he describes Danny's work as giving him hope. Everyone should stop by Danny's gallery. It's quite a treat!

Danny’s art is alive and fresh just like the artist. I am so excited to be taking a piece back to DE with me tomorrow & to be commissioning an original ? his reverence for the black women of the Eastern Shore is truly apparent in his words and his work ?

The Danny Doughty Gallery is located in the same building as the Red Queen Gallery. It's located upstairs and you access by going in a side door around the corner from the Red Queen Gallery's front door.Currently outside of Danny's gallery you will see a large mélange of plants with various metal moldings such as a bird, fish and lanterns. You can't miss it.Once you go upstairs you will see the full gallery of paintings. Probably the first thing you'll see is the floor painting that extends the length of the gallery. Danny specializes in what I would call abstract folk art. His work is very unique and his style is recognizable as his own.If you're in Onancock it's definitely worth a visit.
