I’m only writing this review because I feel bad for a young lady who was treated unfairly on 10/28/25 and let go from Marshalls for something she had no control over.
I’m a marijuana smoker — no shame in that. On a particular day, I happened to be in Marshalls, and you could probably smell it on me. Apparently, a customer complained about the smell and assumed it was coming from an employee, I believe her name is Chazmine. She’s always been very helpful every time I’ve visited the store.
I truly feel that Marshalls did this young lady wrong. Instead of taking a customer’s word and making assumptions, management should have spoken to her first and gotten her side of the story. If they needed clarification, I would’ve gladly come in and admitted it was me — since I’m always in the store anyway.
If this is how Marshalls chooses to treat their employees, then I can’t continue to do business there.

Sometimes the store can be a little messy, but that is usually because of how quickly the staff has to turn items over. Staff is always nice!
They do not usually carry any clothes or shoes in larger sizes.

2025 review. Just came down from New York to spend my birthday trip in Virginia Beach. My fiancé and I made our way to this Marshalls from New Jersey to shop. I had to use the bathroom. (5 hour ride)z There was no signs indicating that the bathroom was closed just a shelf blocking the entrance to the bathroom. I overheard people talking, which I now know was the store manager and another employee. I said “excuse me“ and got a response with a snarky attitude. “bathrooms are closed“. Meanwhile, this person didn’t even know what I was going to ask.

Went inside and loved their decor and outfit selections. I chose a floral 2 piece skirt and crop top blouse set and the quality is great. Definitely will be back.

I was shopping here recently and witnessed the store manager being extremely rude to an employee. I had already found her offputting after smiling at her and saying, “Hello,” when I first walked by her to which she completely ignored me. The way she spoke to the employee was humiliating though, and shows she is lacking good leadership skills. The atmosphere seemed tense and uncomfortable and I left. It is very unprofessional for a manager to behave this way.
