We fill all of our prescriptions with CVS

Apparently this CVS promotes the spread of hepatitis, AIDS, and other bloodborn illnessesthey refuse to sell syringes to anyone unless they already have a prescription with them and since I'm from out of town and don't and since im on foot and cant get to another pharmacy easily, I guess they'd prefer that I keep using these old dirty syringes with the numbers almost completely rubbed off of them, with points so dull it's like pushing a safety pin through your skinthere's a Walgreens south of here that has sold to me in the past and I may just go there but it's south of here and I'm heading north on foot so backtracking like that would set me back another day or two and I've already been stuck here for too long and I'd really like to move forwardAnd I've already spent days here hoping to to get together the money to make this purchase while still having enough money leftover to eat afterwards and now that i finally have the $10 I needed to accomplish this goal I find out this CVS won't provide me with the product I require forcing me to choose between wasting more time heading in the wrong direction or do I keep using these dirty syringes while I wait until I happen across another pharmacy?

If you are going to change your hours. You should have notified all prescription customers! I went without my meds last night due to this !change!!!!!

They take longer than necessary to fill prescriptions. They partially fill prescriptions. They cause you to have multiple trips to the pharmacy. Pharmacist wasn’t available to fill certain medications. I am forced to use them because my insurance dictates that we only use CVS. NOT happy customer!!!

Cannot get in touch with pharmacy. Just don't answer the phone.

This goes strictly for the Pharmacy department: They NEVER answer the phone & that's NOT an exaggeration... if you call the main store, someone ALWAYS pickups up... its been over 1.5 years since I spoke to anyone over the phone from Pharmacy. While you're in line waiting to be helped, regardless of the number of employees, you hear the automated system call out how many calls are on hold (I have seen it rise to over 23) & NOBODY will answer nor acknowledge people calling in. Another issue - They have THE rudest employees I've ever came in contact with. They make you feel like a burden for even showing up, more less when you need to ask them for help or have questions... Seriously, their attitudes are absolutely disgusting, especially most the members who've been there the longest.. Aside from how its being "ran" or better yet, the lack of how it's being run, goes beyond terrible customer service as they are CONSTANTLY messing up SOMETHING... then they have a way of making you feel bad for THEIR mistakes without any true solutions & them NEVER offering a way to make it right!!! I could name so many more instances of different types of issues as well as repetitive errors they've made, no matter how minoot or incredibly serious it may be, THEY DO NOOOOT CARE! For example: Meds will show "filled" in the app, yet when you go get them, they claim they don't have anything & never give a "Promised Time" on when they will be ready & since they apparently don't accept phome calls, youre driving, wasting gas, going back & forth to check on script statuses or to ask a simple freaking question. On the rare occasion they do tell you a promised time, you end up waiting much longer or have to return the next day! ONce I waited for 3 hours for 7 - yes SEVEN, pills... They've "lost" my meds twice & instead of refilling them, while I waited, they stated the 1st time to have a seat, they'd inform me when/if they were found, i waited in store for 2 hours & 45 mins & the 2nd time, they told me the exact same thing BUT it took over 3.5 hours. I've been using this CVS for 3 year's and EVERY month, me and my husband have some kind of issue with them. I was only going there because Walgreens doesn't accept our insurance anymore & other pharmacies near me didnt carry some of our meds... i have since switched to the CVS located in the Colonial Heights Target & they are phenomenal. So nobody can convince me its just how "CVS is"... its just the Crater Rd location. Unfortunately my husband's Health Care Co locked him into the CVS at South Crater Rd location 4 months ago for 12 months - he has been without his most important, daily meds for 3 months, as they have said everytime we go there - the prescription he takes has "ran out" & they don't know when or who will be ordering them... to keep checking back. Well we've done that a few times every week to no avail... the meds are considered a controlled substance so even if we had the option of using a different pharmacy, it cannot be transferred to any others, including other CVS locations. We have called insurance co many times & they have yet to help us fix this but we are continuing to try. He has suffered behind this & they know that he's been on these meds for years, knows what his body goes through without them and they even know that withdrawal from these meds could lead him to serious health problems and even death AND AGAIN, THEY DO NOT CARE! I usually dont leave bad reviews and NEVER leave reviews this long, even when I have nothing but amazing things to say about a company, but I have been reading others on Google & it seems just about everyone is experiencing the same things. I have emailed corporate, tried to review/report them to Va's BBB & everything. I have never, ever seen a company be so uncaring, unkind & un-bothered in my life. The level of disrespect, pure laziness, i

My family and I have been calling for three days now about my son's medicine. No one has answered. Don't do business with this specific CVS.

UPDATE:It is November 2022 , on a Sunday. My younger son has RSV ( A gift from school) I currently have the flu. I've been trying to get a refill on a prescription, I wasn't able to do it over the automated system so I have been calling CVS to have it filled which I know they can do. Over the course of 3 days I can't get through. Now I understand that there are staffing issues and more people are having to go to the pharmacy but this is ridiculous. Today alone I was on hold listening to the music and the loop of "thank you for holding" for 30 minutes I'm still holding as I type this. Friday I held for 40 minutes, no answer. Thursday 10 minutes . I feel like absolute trash, I've got what I call "noodle legs", cough that makes people nervous, runny nose and eyes, and I ran out of masks. I'm going to go through the drive-through to see if I can get it filled I do not want to go inside like this. Wish me luck.

It is ridiculous that the pharmacy staff rarely answers the phone. I have been holding almost an hour to speak to someone in the pharmacy. Perhaps CVS needs to hire more people.

This store is AWFUL!!! Unfortunately, my insurance requires me to use CVS for any maintenance prescriptions. I have held for over an hour trying to reach a representative in the pharmacy with no luck. My CVS app has not been showing any recent prescriptions. When I asked someone at the counter, they were not able to assist and didn’t know why I am not able to see my prescriptions. After holding for an hour, I hung up and called the retail store and asked for a manager. I advised her what was going on and she was no help at all. I advised that I was going to have to move my prescriptions and her response was “I don’t blame you”. Horrible customer service.

I'm trying to think of a way they could be any more incompetent or less helpful but nothing springs to mind. our doctor called in a prescription at 9:30 this morning. at 11:30 we called them to see if it was ready they said no we don't have insurance information. I read them the insurance information off both cards at 11:30 this morning. They said it'll be ready at 1:00. I gave them almost an extra half an hour, got here about 25 minutes after 1:00. It wasn't ready, didn't even processed it, why you ask, because they didn't have his insurance information. I told them that I gave it to a man at 11:30 this morning. I was told oh no you must have spoken to a machine???? I didn't speak to a machine I spoke to a man. They said well it's not in the system. They've taken the information now. Closed for lunch in front of my face and told me to come back at 2:30. What do you want to bet it's not ready at 2:30 either. And don't get me started on the fact that it's all self checkout now at the front of the store. This is why we don't come here. Doctor called the prescription into the wrong pharmacy this morning. We never use CVS and this is why.

Absolutely do not go here. The pharmacy takes hours to get your Rx while you wait in line. Never in my life

If I could give this place a 0 rating I would. My wife is in excruciating pain went to the pharmacy @ 10am and was told the script would be ready in 20min. Only to return 30 minutes later and told to come back in another 20. After 1hr and forty minutes we are still waiting. F this place it's terrible.
