It is fairly easy and not very long, measuring around 6,500 yards from the tips, with two longer par 3s over 200 yards. Many holes offer birdie opportunities, making it enjoyable for a range of skill levels. The course is kept in good condition overall, with good greens and better-than-average traps. However, rounds can be slow on weekends, sometimes taking around five hours. The course layout is old school, with adjacent fairways, but it remains a great place to play. Staff are helpful, and the course is easy to book in advance. Players are advised to bring ice and towels to stay cool and dry during hot days. Overall, Dogwood Trace is a highly recommended course for a fun, fair, and reasonably priced golfing experience.

Fun course to play. Front nine relative easy with back nine longer and more difficult. Lots of pitch marks on greens where players not fixing marks. Our group fixed ours and several others on each green. Decent course for price.

Fantastic public course... well kept and very welcoming. The teaching professional was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the food at the grill was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!
