The photos of the store are not of this location. I have never seen it look that orderly, stocked, labeled, and fronted the 3 years I have been going and has a different interior ceiling. The floors are always dirty and hasn't been cleaned and waxed in years. Cluttered shelves, items falling off the shelves onto the floor and stays there. Often has stock that is out of date, never rotated, and delivery carts left on the floor unloaded for up to 2 weeks. The staff are on auto pilot with no concern for the customer or the store while on their phones checking out customers and using bad language (unprofessional). The parking lot is filthy with vagrants often sitting out front harassing people, and the exterior signs don't work.

Customers shouldn’t have to pour their entire gallon of milk into another container but they do because as soon as you open the top, the milk starts to drain from the bottom/sides. The shelves are rusty and moldy, covered in spoiled milk. This isn’t a one time thing. It’s been for the past few months at least. The manager is in way over her head.

Nothing is stocked. There’s boxes of merchandise cluttering all the aisles but when you ask an employee if they have something that hasn’t been restocked yet, they tell you what’s on the shelves is all they have (like all the hundreds of boxes are invisible). I had to go search through all the boxes to find what I asked them for and open the box myself. When an older gentleman told one of the workers there were a lot of boxes that needed to be stocked, her response was “annnnddd?” And kept walking. Keep in mind, there are 3 employees. Ones keeping the cashier entertained by talking while she’s trying to get the line down….and the other was doing nothing. This is the worst location I’ve been to. Be careful when buying gallon milk. They’re usually leaking, unless you get it from the bottom shelf and their fridge is full of black mold that transfers to the outside of the milk carton (visible). I hope the owners do something about the team they currently have working at this location🤞🏾

Store manager Kathryn unhelpful with return from another branch. Unclear if issue was organizational or if she could gave gone further to assist with return but had receipt from Chester Branch and they couldn't do return. Computer issues also disruptive. Everyone was professional but still frustrating

This store has the most despicable female staffing at the register and a store manager, with no people skills whatsoever or customer service. I believe the way they ganged up on me, provoked me, followed me out of the store, video taping me and my vehicle, and laughing about it. Was racially motivated and discriminatory. (Because of my obvious Latino origin.) They over charged for every item that I purchased, upon my asking for the difference to be refunded. The manager told them to just take the items back, n return all the funds. Rather than take the time to do the simple subtraction. They also knew they had over charged. leaving me to believe they've found someway to scam and steal from customers as well as the store chain... They asked,"so u want ur money back. They should be reported to the better business bureau, the Human Rights Commission and sued for discrimination. And the police. At the point I purchased the items. I was the legal owner, they were only supposed to refund what they stole... Please, someone review they're closed caption monitoring surveillance system. During my time in the store, I assisted a customer who was told my the same manager on duty today, Thursday, January 26th. 2023: at approximately 4-4:30PM. I need contact corporate office contact information... Zero stars for discriminatory treatment, harassment and theft. Completely unacceptable!!!

Just went to the new dollar general on South Adams st!! Very nice!! Rachel working at the counter was kind and gracious and a joy to talk with!! Store is clean and very organized. Keep up the good work dollar general family on South Adams Petersburg va!!!
