“The Victory YMCA is always ready to greet you in the morning. There are tables and group activities for those that want to make friends. However, there are machines where you can work out alone. The bathrooms have been redone. It is a great place to work out.”
“The Peninsula Academy was an amazing preschool experience for our granddaughter, who is now 8 years old and still has friends from her time there! She loved going each day, and we always felt confident she was in a safe, clean, and nurturing environment. Melissa and the staff truly have a heart for children, and it shows in the care and attention they give. Our granddaughter was greeted by name every morning and sent off with happy goodbyes—they truly know and care about each child. We also appreciated the fun themes and celebrations throughout the year, as well as the strong safety protocols. The transition to the app was great—it kept us connected with updates and photos. We will always treasure our time there and highly recommend this wonderful preschool in Yorktown!”
“I have had an association with this school for over a decade. The staff truly cared for and nurtured our children like they were their own. Great sense of community. Best Private School in the area.I am in education and the elementary foundation that my children received far surpassed what any public school district in our area could provide. Our two oldest children attended through 5th grade. They transitioned amazingly and flourished in the public school setting; going on to graduate college. They often speak of the wonderful memories they have from their time at Gloria Dei. Our youngest began in child care at age 3 and continued through the 3rd grade. “My daughter has been here for about a month now. It’s was a difficult transition from being at home to going to daycare but the staff helped us transition over effortlessly. My admiration to Ms.Tina in toddlers 2 because she always has the time to get my daughter from our crying arms and soothes her. My daughter is glued to her hip and Ms. Tina is so patient and kind and so are the other teachers in the classroom they are all so kind and caring for our kids. We truly to feel comfortable with childtime for our child.”
“My child started this year and the staff are all great. They drop off and pick at many of the local elementary schools. My son enjoys going there for before and after school and I've decided to enrolled my other son so they both will be going there for the summer. I only wish they had an app for messaging and payments which would more convenient for me. They have a lovely environment for children.”
