Vehicle still has check engine light after multiple times of being worked on and not being able to correctly diagnosed and or fixed roughly $2,000 was spent. Vehicle has spent a considerable amount of time at Dodd's shop. Paul assured me that the vehicle would be fixed properly after the first two initial times of being fixed then After another six times of being at the shop for over 2 months back and forth total still not fixed. The straw that broke the camel's back though was a bold-faced lie that was told that the vehicle had been driven extensively to ensure the check engine light problem was solved and not come back on meanwhile the vehicle had only been driven a total of 2 miles after a month of being at the shop. This whole time I wanted to believe everything Paul was telling me as we have mutual friends and family members vehicles he works on. This was maybe a one-off situation where he is short-staffed and cannot or does not have the time to properly fix vehicles issues. Being in the customer service industry for over 25 years myself this is not how you run a business and maintain value. I think I was more than understanding and very rarely will write reviews. Unfortunately I felt like since I did not have deep pockets as maybe some of his other customers do I was dismissed and put on the back burner in hopes the problem with just solve itself or just go away. I'm just a blue collared worker and $2,000 is a significant amount of money for me to just let it go. I will be letting all my family,friends and customers I have know about my experience. Being business owners we should really try to pry ourselves on honesty and integrity and treating everyone as equal and fair as possible sometimes we get caught up in the money, I get it but it's not acceptable and we really need to do better and try to be pillars in our community.

Mr. Dodds is the most honest mechanic around and doesn't try to rip you off. He advised me and had to fix unknown issues from previous mechanic. Made my appointment, and got my car back in a decent time frame. Thank you for superb service from beginning to end. I've found my new mechanic!!

The short versionThe owner Paul had my vehicle for eleven months to swap the motor, body bushings and everything else he would recommend to make my vehicle the best it could be.Paul lied to me many times about projected completion times and finish product quality which was very poor. He also pressured me for final payment and gave me my vehicle back with a bad vibration that he could not identify or fix.Regrettably I would not recommend Paul at Dodds automotive
