I recently visited the Powhatan CVS and found both positive and negative aspects worth mentioning. On the bright side, the store is impressively clean. The aisles are well-organized, and the shelves are neatly stocked, making it easy to find what you need without hassle.
However, there are a couple of drawbacks to note. The wait times can be quite long, which can be frustrating, especially during peak hours. Additionally, the customer service experience can be hit or miss—sometimes the staff may not be as friendly or attentive as one would hope.
Overall, while the cleanliness of the store is commendable, improvements in reducing wait times and enhancing customer service could significantly elevate the shopping experience.

TWICE I scheduled a vaccine. Left the first time after waiting 30 minutes with no end in sight. Second time sitting here for 25 minutes and checked in 10 min early. No acknowledgement after the app said you are checked in .. have a seat.
Finally walk up and ask what’s up — still waiting 10 min later.
Save yourself the pain and go to your family Dr.
And CVS wonders why sales are declining. 🤷♂️

Went in there got my Prescription!! And the boy was not friendly at all at the register his attitude was off and instead of saying ma'am don't forget to sign he goes you need to sign your signature terrible attitude needs to be replaced

Ridiculous how long the drive thru wait was if it's gone be close for lunch there needs to be a sign stating outside at the corner before getting in line.theres no reason the inside still get service but drive thru close for lunch. And put a voice msg on the phone stating when close for lunch

This pharmacy needs to be shut down. I have never been in there when there wasn’t a line because of the incompetency of everyone behind the counter! I’ve seen mothers crying because their child needs their medication, I’ve heard doctors speak with the pharmacist and they are apologizing because they “don’t “ know how this happened, people have gotten wrong medications. I go in there for allergy medicine and 3 times out of 5 they try to give me something else other then what I want. One time the cashier messed up and canceled my transaction but it doesn’t cancel that I had already gotten it through the drug company so now I can’t get it! They scrambled and used an employee’s name and driver license so I could get it.. oh and they talk badly about customers, their prescriptions and doctors loud enough that the people in line can hear them. This is not one incident! Take your prescriptions somewhere else

This will make the fourth or fifth time in my whole life that I have left a negative review. Two of which are with CVS. The prior two were the CVS at 288 in Midlothian. I permanently left that one because of continuous issues. I had the flu last week and called in for a nausea medicine refill on Saturday. I had one refill on it. CVS told me that they would have to call my doctor as there were not any refills. My doctor is closed on the weekend! And I clearly have one refill due - it even states that on my label. Unless they gave my prescription to someone else! In telling that to the pharmacy staff - they just got argumentative and had a story that even a five year old would not believe.

I have waited on hold for 2 hours and nobody would pick up the phone. While on hold, I drove to the store, and talked to a pharmacy tech bc I had a sick child and the situation needed to be handled. This is something that should have taken a simple 1 minute phone call. You cannot tell me nobody there could answer the phone for 2 hours. The pharmacist and techs are incredibly rude. They are slow. If there weren't other pharmacies near by I would drive to Henrico or Chesterfield before ever going to this pharmacy again.

I absolutely HATE this pharmacy. they never have anything in stock, don't call you to let you know they don't have it, everyone here is rude, they take FOREVER to transfer a rx & when you try to call...just forget it. you can't get a human on the phone for nothing!!!!! Walmart pharmacy is the way to go!

The staff is always nice and knowledgeable. The pharmacy staff always goes out of their way for us especially sammy and mohammad!! I take a certain medication that this CVS can only stock. And they always have it when I need it.

I ordered a prescription on Friday afternoon. The recording said it will take about 24- 48 hrs. I called the dr.s office Tuesday morning, got a recording, no assurance the order was put in. Called the cvs pharmacy Tuesday afternoon, got a recording, no assurance they even git the order. Waited all day Tuesday for either a txt or a call. Finally, After my wife got home, I could go up there @ 7:45pm
They had two orders sitting on the shelf, they didn't even call me or txt to let me know they were. UNACCEPTABLE.

Absolutely the worst CVS I have ever stepped foot in.
I am not sure who the pharmacy technician was who approached me this morning yelling at me to get out of the store - which, according to the sign was 8 mins after it was open.
I would know his name but he took his name badge off and told me his name was none of my business as he proceeded to tell me to leave.
I understand that things pop up and stores are sometimes late to open. However, the employee that walked in prior to me left the front door wide open.
Please go down the street to Wal-mart or Powhatan Drug for prescriptions. This place is known to have rude staff and they do not disappoint those expectations.

This place has terrible customer service!
The are fully automated now and they want you to leave a message. They might call you back and they might not! They called me back once about a question with a prescription and the lady was very short with me and kept talking over me when I tried to say something.
What is going on with this place?
The corporate office needs to take a look at the manner in which this pharmacy is being managed!!
