The best southern cooking you’ll eat in Virginia. Such outstanding bold flavor. The chicken tenders, and macaroni are beyond heartwarming. You can’t go wrong with anything you order from this sweet woman. She has a smile that is highly contagious and an aura that can soothe a tired soul after a long day of work. If you're in rural Powatan this the place to stop for handmade burgers "not frozen" fresh cut French fries. When ever we are working in the area we stop here for lunch.

What to expect from a little country store? Certainly not the absurdly delicious barbeque. Friendly locals, good prices on food, and a variety of products to choose from. Very convenient being so far away from town.

Waffle House, my third favorite place to dine. Staff always welome customers and food quality and price doesn't hurt your wallet. Yet, it's only time I don't mind dining in a noisy restaurant among staff, their chatter has to do with Waffle House downtime style, where waitress and waiters communication orders to chefs whose cooking a few feet from the counter.
