Thank you to everyone that is employed at this location. Thank you for your dedication to this store. Ann is a wonderful customer service representative. Eric is a friendly customer service representative. Thank you to Gail for your dedication. Thank you John. Thank you for all you do. Update: 10/19/2022 at 5:42pm today I went in the Purcellville Dollar Tree, I needed some extra virgin olive oil, I forgot my face mask and I asked an employee by the name of Desiree where I could find some face masks? She walked with me to the front and asked an employee at the cash register (I didn’t catch his name) if he had any face masks? He gave her some and she gave me one. Free of charge. Excellent customer service. An employee by the name of Leroy really stocks the shelves nicely and keeps items organized. Very easy to shop store. Clean and easy to find items.

The ceiling is leaking and the air conditioner does not work. If this store does not get it together, they will quickly close.

This store needs to work on their customer service. The cashier was very unkind and seemed to be irritated with every customer he talked to. I realize it’s dollar tree but still.

I've been in this store several times with my special needs kids and every time they complain. My kids wanted balls so I got 4 of them and put it in the basket, 5 mins later one of the employees got on the intercom and announced relatively rude the "family with kids - don't let your kids bounce the balls." We bounced them initially so see how they bounced and then they went in the basket. I was actually the one who bounced them - not my kids. I usually spend about $100 when we come but I'll be taking my business elsewhere. It's no wonder it's rated a 1 star...their customer service is a no star.

One day visiting this dollar tree there was a lady paying with only change. Which I fine I don’t see a problem with it but, there was a line in both aisles that were very long. There were multiple employees walking around not seeming to do anything. I’m not sure why they did not open another lane. But as someone that has worked in the type of environment I would have counted the change and put it in the register. The tall man in glasses did not… He counted all the change and let the lady leave and then began to count it again while putting it in the register. There was a man in front of me and I ask the employee if he could go ahead and ring Us up since we’ve been waiting in line for 15 MINUTES at this point. He proceeded to say he had to put all the change in right at that moment, Some people come in on a 30 minute break and Cannot wait 20 minutes in line to wait for someone to count $30 in change. I was very disappointed in this customer service and haven’t had great experiences here :( very disappointed

While at the store today there were two staff members, one with glasses and another one helping. While checking out (as I was the only person in the store) the person helping asked if they could buy a drink of water to have and the man with the glasses responded back in front of me very rude no. Well I think said I will buy the drink of water for the other staff member to allow them to be able to have a drink.

I used to like going to this store. USED to like it. I have purchased ...well alot...here, as I fill dozens of shoe boxes every year, among other things. The place has become so unpleasant a place to shop, though, that I try to avoid it, only going there if I cannot get what I want elsewhere. Recently, Walmart, Big Lots, Ollies. Sure, the prices on some items are quite good at Dollar Tree (as with all such stores, some wisdom much be used, as that $1 price is not always the lowest, or even the lowest per unit)...but for some things the prices are VERY good...plastic rulers come to mind immediately, as well as gift bags, construction paper....the soap boxes are good. A full-size bar of soap won't actually fit in a Walmart soap box (what's with that?). The price on children's bandages is very good. The pencil pouches. I need more of those things today, but I am just DREADING the thought of that store. This store's "corporate begging" lately has so completely turned me off that I just don't want to go back. "Can I interest you in adding...." "Would you like to add a ....". Checking out has become unpleasant. I do still have choices in where I shop, so I just avoid the hassle whenever I can now, even if I pay more. One employee was sufficiently frank as to say, "We are in competition with other stores." and to tell another customer "It helps the store." The customer asked "It helps the STORE?" ...as opposed to a charity, I suppose. One employee calls it "pushing" products...at least they are frank about it. One day I just put my basket down and walked out before I went through the line. So, that "pushing" cost them the sale of the approximately dozen items in my basket. There are people who don't like that even when it's for charity. Still fewer will like it when it's for increasing profits.

I like buying from here bc everything’s just one dollar- but make sure you check dates in food items! I have ended up with multiple expired items. One time a box of powdered donuts literally had mold growing on them and it smelled like chemicals! Also, tonight I accidentally placed 2 identical items in my cart. When I realized what I had done at the register, I asked the older cashier John if he wouldn’t mind if I left the extra item on his desk since I didn’t need it. He literally said to me (in front of multiple customers behind me) “A good customer would’ve put it back on the shelf. But we’ll deal with what we have now won’t we.” Absolutely rude and embarrassing.

Store was just nasty. Boxes everywhere, trash in all the aisles, spilled food on the floor. Bathrooms were disgusting worse than a Porta potty. Some lady who claimed to be manager had the attitude of what do you want me to do about it. Will never go there again.

I enjoy shopping at multiple dollar trees throughout the northern Virginia region. I've been in this one several times but today I notice that a lot of the shelves are empty in critical items like toilet paper some cleaners shampoo and stationery supplies were very very short or empty. The help was friendly checked out quick for the smalle items I bought I hope they get restock soon
