I could write a book on Dr Velling.
Suffice to say, when no other vet can help, Dr Velling is the one. He is the Doctor House of vets. You cannot get a better doctor to treat your pet period!
My dog was suffering from OA and I didn't even realize it. Now he is running and jumping like he hasn't in years thanks to Dr Velling's expert diagnostic skills.

Met Dr. Bingaman today and she was very nice. Answered my questions and gave background findings on why and what she was recommending. The tech who worked with her was great and I felt they took their time and care with him when doing his bloodwork etc.

Hoof and Paw Veterinary is the best care you can get for your puppers. The staff really does love your pet, they treat them all so well. Even my past dog who had to wear a muzzle because she was a nippy little thing when she got shots, but they were still loving to her, and trust me, the struggle was real. my new dog loves everyone over there. She gets all her yearly checks and shots, she got her spay there and gets dentals when needed. (they xray to see decay below the gums so they can task it right away) very through and affordable. I am not even in the area but will do the long drive for the best care. highly recommend them.

Not very caring in my opinion. Was driving on my way to my appointment when advised that unless I arrive within 2 minutes appointment would be rescheduled. I advised front desk that I had trouble locating my leashes that morning and that was why I was running late. Appointment was canceled and I was less than 5 minute away from practice and i advised front desk of such. I advised them not to call back to reschedule would find a more understanding practice. Practice is very understanding on their end when they reschedule you due to unforseen circumstances but not the other way around. This appointment was rescheduled from an earlier date due to vet having an "emergency".

Took our 5 YO Golden to hoof & paw for a couple things - unexplained weight gain and a large "hot spot" on her chest/neck. This is long but essentially this business is a money grubbing machine IMO. They seem far more interested in charging money for anything they can charge for, needed or not, performed on not, than they do treating animals. The hot spot on my female was the main problem that needed to be addressed so they went to shave the area but said they were unable to because her skin was too irritated - BUT they still charged us a $60 fee to do it even though they didn't do it. When we asked about it they said no, since they took her to the back to try to shave her they were charging us that fee anyway. And get this - when we went to a different vet for the same problem on our male 8 months ago, that vet sedated him so they could shave his chest and didn't charge us for that part, only for the treatment. They charged us $62 for a skin cytology (in house) where they looked at a piece of her skin under a microscope to determine the type of microbes. That was unnecessary because the treatment is the same anyway. This procedure was not done on my male who had the exact same condition 8 months ago. Hoof and Paw charged us $105 for the antibiotics (12 pills). The previous vet sold us the same antibiotics for $30 just 8 months earlier. They charged us $52 for shampoo to wash the hot spot area and the same shampoo on Amazon costs $35, but they told my wife it was prescription shampoo but it was not. They took blood for a comprehensive metabolic analysis and said a urinalysis was included but they didn't take a sample. They told us to take a sample at home and then drive a half hour back to their office to drop it off instead. They charged us $6 for medical waste disposal, the first time any vet has ever charged us for medical waste disposal. Ever in my life. My wife called and complained (very nicely) that we were disappointed in their treatment and in their charge for service not performed and for the unnecessary procedure, and told them we would not be coming back to use their services anymore. The Doctor responded via voicemail that "Since we would not be returning to their office, he sent the lab results to our other vet so we could call that vet to go over the results." That is the most unethical thing I've ever heard a vet do. We PAID him $300 for a "Senior General Profile - Wellness" that included lab work (blood and urine), analysis of the lab results, and communicating that information to us with a possible treatment plan. But since we are not going to pay him any MORE money - Eff us. What a guy. BTW: 8 months ago when we took our 6 YO male Golden to the other vet for a large hot spot on his chest/neck, the total charges were a little over $250 AND they actually treated him for the hot spot. Hoof and Paw didn't really treat our female Golden but they charged us over $365 for the hot spot "treatment" that included almost no treatment at all - no sedation, no shaving, no cleaning, no topical antibiotic - all the things the other vet did to treat my male). So we'll go to a much better vet that isn't an unethical hack and complete and total ripoff, we'll get better treatment for our dogs, AND we'll pay less.

I think this vet has changed ownership and no longer cares about clients. I was a five year customer.

Our vet tech Hanna and Dr. Velling were so kind, gentle and loving to our very anxious and not so cooperative boy. Hanna handled him so well and took great care of him. Dr. Velling also took extra time to just sit with our pup and help him not feel so anxious. I never felt rushed and they got our dog on the road to recovery with his injury. I appreciate the extra time and effort they gave to our pup. It is clear they truly care about their clients/patients (both two-legged and four-legged)

My family and I love this practice. Everyone that works here are super nice and helpful. The doctors and nurses are very loving and supportive. One can tell how much everyone loves animals over here. I can't recommend them enough. Great for the family pet, but also great for other services, such as bovine! And that can be difficult to find in the local area. Again, can't recommend enough. We all love them over there.

They officially lost a customer today. We've been customers for many years, and specifically have been using them for our dog for the past five years. We had an appointment this afternoon and unfortunately we were running a few minutes late. I called to let them know and said we'd be about 10 mins past our appointment time, which they said was fine. Unfortunately, we arrived 13 minutes past our appointment time. The doctor then refused to see us because of the 3 minute difference. Absolutely ridiculous. This is the only time in 5 years that we have ever been late.
On top of this, the last several times we've needed sick visits for sudden issues, they've had absolutely zero available and told us we'd need to go to the emergency vet. They also failed to call us when our dog's prescription was ready after saying they would and confirming our contact info. Overall, the whole office has gone downhill and is nothing like it used to be.
We will be searching for a new vet this evening. I no longer recommend this vet office at all.
