One star only because zero stars is not possible. This PO has some serious problems. The people who work behind the counter are great. It is mail delivery that is really messed up. We’ve lived at the same address for six years, and I am signed up for informed delivery (ID). Several times per month, if not more, we don’t receive what ID says is coming, and at least several times per month we don’t get any mail at all, even when ID says we have mail coming. What’s worse is that we - and all of the people in our neighborhood - often get mail that is not for them, sometimes for addresses miles away. The level of incompetence is the worst I have ever seen, and I’ve lived in several “Third World” countries.

For than one year the Purcellville post office has had serious difficulties getting mail delivered to the right house. Have complained multiple time to Purcellville post office. Today I witnessed the postal person dropping my box from the seat of her vehicle to the ground near my post. The box contained glasses. When coming back down the road, I stopped her and asked if she placed the box on the ground and she lied and said yes she did. I informed her that I witnessed her dropping the box. She was very nasty and said, “Well I’m sure it’s ok and drove away quickly.

Put mail on hold for two weeks and it is missing, no one at the post office has offered a solution, just sorry we don’t have any mail held, are you sure it wasn’t delivered (it was not- I chose the pickup option). The whole experience has been disappointing.

Two weeks after getting a post office box, I noticed the key did not work. It was another week before I had time to wait in line to find out why my key didn't work. They had changed the lock and given MY BOX to someone else! So for a week, a complete stranger was getting my bills. The staff did change the lock again and gave me a new set of keys...but how does something like that happen in the 1st place!? I had to change credit card #'s to all the bills I never received. What a hassle!

I had a $6,000 package get "lost" before it ever left the store. Conveniently they also messed up my insurance so I only had $500 instead of the $5,000 I had asked for. DO NOT use this post office. It is my strong belief that they do things like this intentionally so they can steal valuables.

I’ve had no life altering problems with this post office. It’s a small town post office and in general post offices are struggling with resources due to what happened during COVID and changes from top down.Everyone’s been nice to me here. Sometimes things arrive late but they arrive. I think they’re doing their best.

Miserable place. I place mail pick up online and I received mail stating. That they could find my mail or they've attempted to get my mail and they couldn't make it because it was blocked and all that lies and excuses. We have a camera recording 24/7 for front door porch, side of the house and back of the house. No one stepped on our porch and there was no blockage. Driver didn't want to leave his vehicle so he throw's excuses. Few days, I've received an email notifying me that the mail was picked up. But no, the mail was sitting on the porch. I don't know who is responsible from this act. These guys should get fired. Our tax mail arrives ripped open. We were on vacation for couple of weeks. We placed our mail on hold. When my husband went to this place to collect our mail, staff said that there was no mail for us. None. So for two weeks we had no mail? This place should get investigated for fraudulent activity.

I went to cash a money order. The front desk employee (who was so nice) had to call a a different employee to help me. Right off you could tell she had an attitude and didn’t want to do her JOB! She had to call someone on the phone to help her cash a money order. While being on the phone, she said some thing which I misunderstood, and she spoke down to me to correct me. After their conversation, she proceeded not to cash my money orders. Probably, after she spoke to me like a child I snapped back on her. She was very rude non helpful and has no customer service skills whatsoever. If that is the case, get a different job lady. You know who you are.

I’ve never spoke with someone that was this rude. It was the manager, and she spoke to me like I was a child that had did something wrong. I only came in because a package that was delivered to the house in round Hill, wasn’t left , and the carrier then brought it back to the post office in Purcellville. I had to go in to get the package. Awful, can’t see how she can have a job that deals with customer service.

I would give this post office 0 stars if I could. I can't count how many times I've gotten a notice from USPS that a package was dropped off at my home when it wasn't. If you try to call them to see what happened, they don't answer their phone. Or they'll say they tried to drop it off but couldn't for some reason-literally not possible. I've had numerous packages that I'd requested to be dropped off on my porch that end up thrown on the ground up by mailbox-in the rain. The lack of attentiveness and professionalism is truly stunning and super disappointing. Be better, Purcellville Post Office.

The postal delivery person is refusing to deliver the mail, unless the mailboxes are moved to a “no parking” zone. I live on a street with street parking for “visitors only” so I can’t control who parks there or when they park.

I was there today 10/24/2022. Nina was my customer service representative that waited on me. She was very professional and friendly. All the employees at this location are very helpful.

Must be me. Sent out checks to pay five (5) seperate bills using the INSIDE Dropbox 6/30/22. None (0) have been received as of 7/11. One check was local, two within 20 miles. I now had to pay ONLINE (to include late fees) as duplicate payments. I understand staffing issues And supply chain issues, but this is unacceptable for a service I paid for. Forcing your patrons to use online services will cause lost customers. Maybe that's the ultimate goal.
