Shenandoah Caverns is a hidden jewel tourist attraction in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. Visitors describe it as an amazing and wonderful cave tour with breathtaking formations created over millions of years. The experience is well worth it and something you will not regret. Tour guides are amazing, full of knowledge, and mix in a sense of humor. They are kind and patient, answering every question without making guests feel rushed. The caverns use a unique lighting system to protect the formations, and one room offers an experience of complete darkness. On site, there is an old-fashioned café or diner to grab a bite. The facility is family-friendly, with a nursing and changing area, and activities like gem sluicing are available. The front desk staff is also amazing. It is a place with so much to see and do, perfect for a stop while passing through or for a special visit.
Really cool tour, would highly recommend it if you dig caves. Be in shape for the stairs though on the return trip. I’m mildly claustrophobic, but it was big enough and well lit to not to get too sketched out.

On my way back from Tennessee to New Jersey, stopped by this hidden jewel tourist attraction. If you're in the area or just passing through on the interstate, you must stop and do the tour. Vanessa was an amazing tour guide full of knowledge about the caverns mixed with a sense of humor.
