This hotel is in need of serious internal upgrades in the common areas, and guest rooms. Dark drafty hallways with walls and doors that have scapes and chipping paint.Best part of my stay was a decent bed a pillows and convenient access to interstate.Rooms: Spacious rooms, but outdated decor.

The manager will not give her name and will hang up on you. During my stay, there were towels for one person in a double queen room. The toilet paper was the same roll an earlier guest used. I accidently left my jacket in the room and on my way home I called the manager to ask her to mail it using my cc. She would not do that and told me there was a "holding" fee of 30.00 if I picked it up within 24hrs. I was already two states away by then. Hearing that, she said after 24hrs. it'a 60.00 holding charge. I've never of having to "buy back" your own things. I had a friend there pick it up and she had to pay 30.00. I have never left a rating comment before but think others should be warned about that hotel and the Econolodge next to it, both owned by the same woman, who is from India.

Positive:Friendly staffFast WiFi Very large clean roomsVery quiet Easy check in / outHot tub and swimming pool were clean and functional Functional microwave & fridge Loved the wall plugs for iPhones perfect for those who forget their outlets cubesNegative:Poor water pressure Aged hotel has typical wear and tear nothing serious though Very uncomfortable bed / pillows in our particular roomUnderstaffed so room service/ housekeeping unavailable Neutral:Free breakfast offers Eggs, cereal, toast, pancakes, coffee, juices, sausage gravy. We did partake in breakfast but honestly it's not the tastiest meal. So we decided to opt out the next morning.

The living conditions are absolutely abysmal. As soon as I stepped into the hallway I was attacked by numerous different stenches and scents I have never smelled before. The beds were covered in bed bugs and the mattress were covered in brown marks and dirt. Me and my family immediately regretted the rash decision to book a stay at this "hotel". Take your family and go elsewhere.

This hotel is not worth the money or the risks involved in staying there. It is easily the worst experience I've had as a consumer in the hospitality industry, and I wish I could rate less than one star. My family and I were placed there a couple months ago after a house fire. The second floor, where our rooms were, was not air-conditioned, it was dark, and it smelled of mildew. The ice machine was out-of-order indefinitely. The rooms appeared and smelled as though they hadn't been cleaned or updated in years. The tub had mold and soap scum, the carpet was sticky, the walls were very dirty, there was peeling paint and tiny holes in the ceiling, the headboards had handprints and residue on them, the furniture was coming apart, the AC was filthy, noisy, and didn't work right, and the toilet seat had a cigarette burn. The bathroom ventilation was filthy, clogged, and non-functional. The indoor pool was cloudy, the kiddie pool full of debris, the hot tub wasn't hot, there was no ventilation so it was unbearably hot, the area was poorly lit, all of the sliding glass doors were terribly broken and non-functional, and the handicap-accessible pool chair was completely broken. Several children ended up with bloody toes after walking barefoot on the rough deck area. The laundry facility was alarmingly filthy and stifling hot. The vending machine had many overpriced and expired items. Worst of all, the owners made a fraudulent charge on our card about a month after our stay, without authorization, out of the blue and without attempting to contact us, leaving us with no idea why we had been charged about 650 dollars on top of the cost of our stay, AFTER being displaced due to a HOUSE FIRE! After some research, making some inquiries, and reading every review I could find, it seems that this has happened many times before. Many former guests have complained that they also incurred sudden charges well after their stay, without authorization, and for substantial amounts of money. It seems that the majority of instances were attempts to collect for pre-existing damages, of which this hotel has plenty. This institution has also had a well-documented, chronic issue with bedbugs and other pests. One of the proprietors is also aggressive, argumentative, and flagrantly unprofessional when addressing (valid) concerns from guests. PLEASE be advised that this hotel is poorly maintained, potentially hazardous, well known for committing fraud, and not worth doing business with. I wish my family had never stepped foot in the building.

Nothing has been updated since my last stay in 2011 besides the bedframes. Place isn't the cleanest. Staff is friendly.

Negative stars for BED BUGS and the worst customer service from the owner I have ever witnessed. I broke out in dozens of bed bug bites (red, yellowish center, sore/itchy) about an hour after waking up and checking out. Was unable to speak with the owner for almost 24 hours. When I finally got her in the phone she raised her voice, spoke over me, denied the bug problem (so clearly it won't be exterminated or bombed) and refused a refund then she HUNG UP ON ME, after saying that I was full of myself for asking for a refund. I have been up all night in misery from these bites. I am beyond disgusted.

WARNING THIS HOTEL OVERCHARGES AND SENDS REOCCURRING CHARGES THEY CANT EXPLAIN. So far we have been charged 921.60 for three nights .. THREE .. this hotel is pretty on the outside and inviting , we were greeted with a seemingly friendly receptionist who told us we would get a prorated night since we arrived at midnight . She was supposed to book us through Monday but didn't . Our rates were very confusing and in fact well over the value of what we were actually faced with . When arriving to our room we opened the door to a hot musky smelling "clean" room upon first Glance , but as I was setting my child and bags down on the bed I was astonished at how many things had been missed by housekeeping (was our room even cleaned ?) . The bathrooms toilet had a ring of funk at the water line , Urine at the base of the toilet ,mold at the seam of the tub and shower ,a film in my sink from toothpaste , toothpaste on the mirror frame at the sink , crumbs in the microwave . Apparently they leave the ac units off while the rooms are empty even when it is 90' outside which isn't pleasant to walk in to and may contribute to that slight musky smell . Our second to last day at this hotel we were called to be notified about scheduling problems , but they assured us there was no issues with extending our stay an extra night . We called choice hotels guest service line and after 45 minutes of speaking with a representative we got nothing but confirmation that we were overcharged for the hotel and location for at least one of the three nights we stayed . Over all our experience was very stressful on us in the midst of our last minute trip for a funeral. I definitely encourage anyone who stays here in the future to thoroughly read their paperwork before you sign -you don't get a copy- We are currently waiting On the issues we were faced with to be resolved, but I doubt this hotel will refund us .

Horrible experience. I booked this hotel for one night as a stopover before finishing my drive to TN. Arrived at about midnight on 4/15/21. When I went to check in, the girl at the front desk said she had already checked me in. I explained that I had just arrived at the hotel and that that was impossible. Turns out she checked someone else into my room under my name. Anyone who has ever stayed at a hotel before knows they must check your license and have you sign a form before checking in. Apparently she didn't do that, or checked that person in under my name anyway. She asked me to wait while she figured it out. About half an hour later, she told me that I would have to cancel my reservation and make a new one at a higher rate. I told her I didn't want to do that as it was nonrefundable. She put me in random room on the first floor that wasn't very clean, but whatever. She told me she would have to get in touch with the woman who was staying in the room I had booked. It's about 1:30 am at this point. She had difficulty getting in contact with her (because she was probably asleep!) and told me I'd have to wait up until she spoke with that woman so she could book me a new room. I asked if it could wait until the morning as I was very tired and needed to sleep before finishing my drive and she said "No, I won't be here in the morning so I'll have to wake you up." Went back to the room she put me in and waited for her to come by. About 2:30 am now and I was getting very tired. Went out to the lobby again and she said she didn't know what to do but I could contact the manager, Melissa Bolling, in the morning about a refund. Called the hotel agency and was routed to India where they told me they couldn't help me. Got tired of waiting and felt uncomfortable there with the situation so I left around 3 am and stayed at another hotel. Contacted manager in the morning, she didn't answer. Another girl at the front desk said the manager would refund me in 5-7 buisness days. Week later, no refund. Called again, no manager available. Called again, left message, she returned my call and said she refunded me but I'd have to contact the third party I booked through to retrieve it. Called third party and they have no record of a refund. They call the hotel 3 times to talk with the manager and there is no answer. Got in touch with someone in customer service. They told me they refunded a woman named Amanda and that it would be all set. MY NAME ISNT AMANDA. I don't know who Amanda is. Back and forth for a month. Choice Hotels doesn't answer, the hotel doesn't answer. I just wanted a refund. I don't want free hotel stays. Just my money back for a hotel I didn't stay in because they gave my room away to someone else staying there under my name.

Room is pretty clean, but there are many odors around and the bathrooms aren't really clean. Half of the television channels don't work properly, the bathroom door doesn't even shut, and there's no hand soap in the bathroom...wth. At least the staff was pretty friendly...Would not recommend.

This was undoubtedly the most vile hotel I've ever been in. I was so exhausted after a long drive coming from a funeral that I didn't have the energy to find another hotel and I had already carried all my stuff to the room. I had my own cleaning supplies and when I wiped down the room, every wipe I used was brown afterwards. I cleaned the tub then decided it was still to disgusting and didn't use it, there was feces on the toilet seat, the sheets had stains all over them, luckily I had my own flat sheet to put over top and had my own pillow and blanket. The towels were so worn they were almost torn and they smelled like smoke. There was also hair all over the bathroom. If this place wasn't conveniently located next to Radford it would be bulldozed. I cannot. I also woke up in the morning with a strange bug bite that still hasn't gone away so it definitely wasn't a mosquito.
