Since before my family and I moved into our home in August 2023, CMG has been nothing but accommodating, professional, kind and attentive. They answered all my questions in a timely and thoughtful manner, and after I moved in their dedication stayed the same. Any time I have an issue or maintenance request, they respond immediately and then follow up to make sure everything is still working ok. The maintenance team is AMAZING! Randy, James and Brian are incredibly skilled and hard working. They always go above and beyond to ensure everything is in top-notch condition. Their dedication and attention to detail truly make a positive difference when there is an issue that needs attention.So far, I’d recommend CMG to anyone looking to rent in Radford!

I lived on Davis St. for a year and highly recommend the location. The apartment I stayed in was beautiful, and Amanda and her team were efficient in resolving any issues, most of which were unexpected and unforeseen. While some reviews mention bug problems, I didn't find it to be a significant issue. I took steps to bug-proof the apartment and avoided opening the door to wooded areas, which seemed to solve the problem.However, there are two areas where I believe improvements could be made: waste management and on-site laundry facilities. The waste bin was open-topped and tended to smell at times; a recycling bin would also be a welcome addition. As for the laundry facility, it operates using quarters. A Bluetooth-enabled system would be far more convenient, in my opinion. Additionally, the facility could benefit from more frequent maintenance.Amanda is an excellent communicator and manager, consistently constructive and solution-oriented. If you're a responsible and attentive tenant who documents everything and maintains the apartment well, I'm confident you'll have a pleasant experience. I appreciate the quality of service they provide.

Was very upset over some things that transpired after my lease ended. I was overcharged and told that I wouldn’t be refunded until my security deposit came back. However, I scheduled a meeting with the manager Amanda and she was able to help me resolve the issue. She did everything she could to help and promised me my refund asap. She even sent me a $25 gift card for food so I wouldn’t go hungry while the refund processed. Really really thankful for her attentiveness and being so easy to work with. The only issue I had is that our apartment had pretty bad mold issues that repeatedly came back and was never fully solved. However, maintenance did what they could. If you’re looking into CMG apartments, specifically Hillside, I would be wary of the mold. Overall though, nice people and easy to work with.

I have asked repeatedly for details regarding charges that I feel are erroneous, but have yet to have my questions answered. It has been over a year and still no resolution. They simply took the security deposit to cover what they consider to be their "correct charges". Do not rent from them without reading the entire 36 page lease with an attorney. You'll be surprised what you find. I have read other reviews and the folks who say they are very satisfied, were never expecting much from this agency to start with. All I asked for was truthful explanations. They know that most people cannot afford the extensive costs of hiring an attorney and they count on that.

CMG’s Maintenance team is always super helpful and fast to respond to my requests and they LOVE my dog. Hannah & Amanda are always sweet and helpful when answering my questions. Definitely recommend them to anyone looking for an apartment especially first time renters!

Started leasing through CMG since 2017 in Radford until now. Whenever I've had an issue or needed anything they were always there to help. Constant events throughout the year, free snacks, and always there tk listen is just some of what comes with it. I've thoroughly enjoyed chatting with them all! Special shoutout to Amanda whose been there the whole time, absolutely lovely employee! Shoutout to Anna, and Hannah as well, who always were attentive and responsive to all needs. They watched me grow from a boy into a man. Stay awesome, and I will greatly miss you all!

if you like getting extorted then this is your place! the branch manager there is Amanda super nice lady until you move out. when you decide to move out of your apartment they will try to fine you up to 6000 dollars. when this happened to me i threaten legal matter and they never pressed for the money this is a common thing with the radford branch. also they are the most declining Rental business in the university area. PS if you get with 3 feet of Amanda you could possibly have a fish odor linger with you for the rest of the day.

Hire predatory towing agency to tow visitors. They prowl constantly. $180 for 10 minutes of parking. Those who hire these types ARE these types. Reviewing Radford location. So- Don't even visit! Even visitors get screwed!Also trip hazards abound! Parking lot is a obstacle course of broken asphalt and too high utilities.

Hannah Amanda and Anna are super sweet and very helpful with any questions you may have. They helped me sign a 3 bedroom house and I love it. Also they have plenty of refreshments in the lounge that all residents are more than welcome too.

Really unethical practices. Told a friend of mine she would be able to break her lease due to the mental distress her roommates were putting her through with a letter of medical advisement, after sending them the letter she moved out and cleaned the room; CMG then reversed course and told her she would have to provide additional paperwork, then changed their story AGAIN and said she would be responsible for paying the remainder of her lease term, no way to break her lease. VERY hard to get a straight answer from anyone at the office. There are better leasing companies around that won’t rob you blind.Edit since I forgot the first time: GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING FROM CMG!! Do NOT rely on verbal- only communications as you will need evidence for disputes. Best of luck to all willing to take their chances.

Like someone else stated, I would give CMG leasing 0 stars if possible. Beyond unprofessional and frankly there’s mold and they dismiss you when you tell them. Numerous times had people say they weren’t coming to my apartment that day and then would check my cameras and see them in my apartment. Then was told after having my dog I have more medical reasons was to be removed from the property, they told me to just get a new one???? Then tried to call corporate and never got a call back because the property manager said they would tell me the same thing. Loved being given 22 hours to move out as well after trying to get accommodations for my medical reasons :) Washers and dryers also barely work in the laundry rooms provided on property.

I would rate CMG 0 stars if possible. My family and I have never had a worse experience with a rental company before. After renting with CMG for a year, I was trying to move into another CMG owned apartment complex for the following year. While the lease start/end dates were different for the two properties, I would have been left with a month and a half of nowhere to live. CMG did nothing to help accommodate me when wanting to stay with their company. When I have had this issue of a gap between leases with other rental companies in the past, they were very accommodating to my needs. When eventually asking the manager, Amanda, for her personal advice on what to do in my situation as I was feeling very stuck and unsure of what to do, I walked into the office and was greeted with, "I'm not sure why you are here, we have nothing to else discuss." She continued to speak to me similarly throughout our conversation. I left the office in tears for hours after my conversation with Amanda solely based upon how I was spoken to. It is extremely unprofessional for a manager to speak to their residents in this manner.When I first moved in to my apartment, I paid a total of $600 in security deposits. Upon moving out, I received $78 of that amount back. Do not plan on moving here unless you can leave an entire apartment in absolute perfect condition that looks like it was never lived in. Most of our charges were not for cleaning well enough, while my roommates and I collectively swept, mopped, vacuumed, and wiped down prior to move out. They expect their residents to clean the apartments as if they are a professional cleaning company. I attempted to dispute some of these charges with management, but no changes were made. As someone who has rented for years at various complexes, I have never not received all/most of my security deposit back. While I wasn't expecting to receive all of it back with CMG, I was shocked by the amount I did.
