Rode my bike in the cold to get it dropped off today. Upon arrival clearly the employees dont get along. When I got there I was told that I had to pay a 40 dollar deposit just to drop off the bike. When I told the lady working there that she had not mentioned this (when I spoke with her on the phone) she clearly was not receptive . She did not mention anything about pricing at all during our conversation, but thats fine because I didnt ask. After attempting to negotiate, I was asked to leave the store (I asked if I was being kicked out and I was so I left) I also want to mention that she explained the reason for the deposit was that the previous owner “had all the money going straight into his pocket”. This is inappropriate and irrelevant to customers. I am open to resolving this, but will not be paying a deposit. If anyone else has a bike shop they would reccomend in the area please let me know.

The new owner is just amazing and the tech is outstanding. I'm just so impressed with this shop, the effort she put into finding the whole family proper bikes and the prices. Thank you so much!

My intention was to change peoples minds about new Wheel! I do believe I did just that but not with all because of the link to the owner of Hokie spoke or "Hokie joke" ! The harder I worked the more he fought me. I would like to thank the cool people of Radford who supported me and the change of New wheel. I met a lot of really good people there and it was my pleasure to serve that community and wish it didn't have to end! Dave just wouldn't let go and has some serious unresolved issue that I hope he can come to peace with..Happy trails Radford!

Worst experience ever. They had my bike for over a month, 4 mechanics later i went to see my bike. 1 rim was missing along with my 4 pegs. Found my pegs on another bike that was for sale as i was told to pay them 80 dollars for the new rims and wheels on my bike without the pegs and was told to take it home and put it together myself and if they found my pegs they would let me know later. When i told Reeva those were my pegs, she said they don't have your name on them. This bike shop is crooked as can be. Don't waste your time or money. Zero starts wouldn't let me post unless i put one.

My husband brought 2 bicycles to fix there and when he went to pick them up the person told him that the bicycles were not there and that he did not know where they were.

I was on a long distance bike trip and my pannier got pulled into the back wheel and ripped out several spokes. The new owner of New Wheel got me in quickly and was able to do a great inexpensive repair to get me back on the trail.

I am biking the TransAmerica bicycle trail and needed to get my derailers adjusted and Keith happily took me in and fixed me up. Good people

I have been to the New Wheel in Radford recently for bicycle repair. I found the manager to be very professional. He is seems to be a really nice guy who knows what he is doing. I suggest if you are looking to buy a new bike or need one fixed go see Keith. I am enjoying my bike more than I have in years.

Fielding a call from the police department finally pushed me into writing this review. The lure of free tune-ups for life convinced me to purchase a mountain bike there in 2019. After a couple unsatisfactory tune-ups, I reluctantly went back one more time in August (2022). New employees there convinced me it was a new day at New Wheel, so I left my bike for service. After pointing out a bent derailleur, they advised me on a drive train upgrade. I ordered the parts, took them to the store, and then crickets. Weeks went by, the store was not open during published hours and phone calls went unanswered during business hours. When I did get ahold of somebody, there were always excuses. After six weeks I pulled my bike out of the shop in pieces (one of my grips is still missing). I took it to another shop where they told me the new cassette would require a new back wheel (an unexpected $120 expense). So much for getting sound advice from New Wheel. Then, for the cherry on top, I got a call from the Radford City police department investigating some sort of claim regarding the work order on my (and others?) bikes. Awful experience, awful place, avoid at all cost (lest it cost you more).

New management... awesome change for the better! Cameron is professional, courteous, does quality work & pays attention to details, ... I usually try and do most repairs & tuning on my own. But with this now available in town... I'll be a regular. By the way, very fair pricing for services, parts & new or used bikes.

I took my Lectric ebike this week for a much needed tune up. Cameron took care of me quickly. He showed me a problem I wasn't aware of , and had the parts on hand at a great price. I'm back on the road and my bike is shifting smoother than ever.

Good, qualified, and friendly service. Not a place to get things done quickly, but the quality is worth the wait.

I took an ebike in to repair a back tire. I was not comfortable working on the tire because of the electrical wires. I took the bike in the shop and the older man said that he does not work on ebikes. He would not even give me a new tube. He said that I bought the wrong bike for what is needed. He also said I did not do my due diligence when I purchased the bike. He was rather insulting. Why? I was completely polite. Rude and a real j****
