This shop is shut down. If you call the number, it will go to McCoy's next door.

This place is under new management. Encouraging people to go and see the new owner. He needs good word of mouth to help due to the reputation of the last owner.

I've had only satisfactory work performed here, in the past. The owner, had always been polite, professional, and gone above and beyond to provide me with the best quality service. But recently I think he's been tested, this time something or someone has failed him. After spending a considerable amount of money, on repairs, your staff conveyed to me needed to be taken care of in order to pass the Virginia State Inspection, my original wheel bearing problem wasn't fixed. The next day I left a message for you call me back, which you never did, instead your front end manager stated, that you told her, you drove the car and it drove nicely. I took the vehicle to Shelor Motor Mile, in Pulaski, and the wheel bearing problem was diagnosed in 15 minutes. Sean, I am sure the previous work was performed properly. But you never got back to me after I called, and came by to resolve the issue. You have some serious things going on I'm sure, and this doesn't seem like you, but get it together brother.

Sean Jessie isn't even good enough to be called a shade tree mechanic. Paid him $250 on July 2 to install a strut & spacer on passenger side of my pickup and do an alignment. He gives it back and 1/2 mile later it's slinging grease out of the cv joint boot "he busted" and they'd already closed up and gone for the day. So 5 days later they open up on the Monday after the holiday and I've done replaced the axel myself. I explain what had happened when I got home and aftee he admits they pinched the boot he proceeds to try explain everything away. And how i was just impatient for not waiting the 5 days on him to return to work and that it would've been fine to drive with grease flying everywhere. Apparently he thinks since you brought it to him you must have never turned a wrench. So then he tells me "I'll call you Wednesday because I'm all about making it right". For the benefit of the customers he had in the lobby.Guess what? No call on Wednesday. Lmao so I go back in. This time his little flunky up front says " oh he's out and wont be back till probably tomorrow" smh. Just take this warning. If you don't have a pocket full of cash to let him take. "Because I assure you he will". take it somewhere else. Anywhere else!

Sean and the front desk employees were awesome. I seen so many bad reviews on United mufflers shop AFTER I took my car (which worried me after they started working on it) to be worked on. I seen comments about them not fixing what they was suppose to, to expensive, Sean was rude or sean didn't know what he was talking about but I have to disagree with all of that. I just moved to VA from WV and went for inspection and was rejected for many things. I was wondering why he was taking tires off, checking the E-break and lifting the hood (they don't do that in WV) and he politely explained to me all of the VA state laws for inspection stickers. Sean could have potentially saved me and my family's life for there was many things wrong with my car that I didn't know that was very dangerous. He showed me everything that he seen was wrong with it. He didn't just claim there was a problem just so he could make some money like some of these reviews had stated. I don't see him as a "rip off" because he thought I needed both rear bearing to begin with but then called me at a later time to tell me I only needed one. If he was a rip off he would have replaced both and charged me for it. I dropped my car off on a Wednesday and was told it would be done Thursday (that's awesome for the amount of work it needed) but there wasn't enough time to get it done Thursday so I was told by front dest sean was only coming in Friday (it was good Friday and they are closed) just to finish mine but they didn't. I wished they would have called to let me know it wasn't going to be done Friday because that made us finding a way to get our Easter pictures and getting to church a little complicated. That's the only reason why they got a 4. If it wasn't for the no contact thing they would have absolutely gotten a 5! I'd recommend united muffler to you. I will return for any future needs.

I went to get 3 inch true duals put on my truck man at front desk gives me a quote for 250.00 for 3 inch pipe and then Sean puts on 2 1/2 inch pipe on and I kindly tell him that it's not right I wanted 3 inch pipe as stated to the man at the front desk he said he would fix it but would half to pay 200.00 more to have it put on instead of owning up to the mistake of his employee like a good garage should instead he was going to make me pay 200.00 more and then he would fix it would not send my worst enemy there and would not recommend to anyone.

My alternator died yesterday morning, called United & they said they'd work it in. To avoid towing, I was able to limp my SUV over to them (took 2 jumps) from the Advance parking lot. Already had the part, so installation was all I needed, as well as a state inspection. In the end, everything with United cost just over $200, with the install, inspection & a replaced taillight, and I was back on the road just before they closed at 5. Thrilled! My husband's been taking his vehicles there for years without issues.

They always find way more than what you went to get fixed, and costs way more than they estimate...
