I only went there to meet with some people (yeah seriously - I don't drink) but the store was clean, the shelves were fully stocked and the staff members were friendly. Didn't realize how much liquor prices had gone up since my last "real" visit some 21 years ago.

Hey, it's a Virginia ABC Store in a college town. I don't expect much from it, but it exceeds my expectations.I don't shop much for flavored Vodka, so about a third of this location's selection is lost on me. I can always manage to find a couple of reliable whiskies and the occasional gem. Got a bottle of 16 Year Lagavulin the other day which put me in touch with my inner Nick Offerman.The customer service is great. Paco is the man.Once a college aged guy asked me if it's worth it to spend $60 on a bottle of liquor. He amused me deeply.Another time, an older gal looked at my haul of two bottles of Scotch and two bottles of Rabbit Hole's rye and strongly suggested going home with me. That made uncomfortable in a interesting way.
