Very unpleasant experience!
Went into the Apple Store to get a new phone and the staff was more worried about going home rather than helping me out.
The guy that was helping me told me to delete my phone and to delete my SIM card as we would transfer everything to the new phone.
Once the associate saw the time he said that i should come back tomorrow as they were about to close. I told him i needed my phone working and they said to just come back the following day because they were about to close and there was nothing they could do to assist me.
So i was sent home with a non working phone and with now new phone.
Now it’s 9:25 pm and i am calling my Carrier to reactivate my old phone as it was deactivate by the Apple Store employee and honestly it’s a nightmare because what it’s supposed to be a pleasant and easy experience turn into a nightmare and a phone call of over 30 mins to activate my line.

The people were nice, but it is busy and noisy. Even though we had an appointment, we waited to talk to someone and then had to wait an hour more for the work to be done.

My only complaint is having to drive over an hour away to have my apple device serviced.

Kass was incredibly helpful in resetting my sister & I’s laptops with the upmost patience & kindness. She had a solution & explanation for any question we had. We left the Apple store feeling relieved, at ease, and having gained more knowledge!! Kass is the best!!

I have been closely following the availability of the iPhone 17 Pro Max at your Reston location. Every night I check the online store, and it shows the device as “Available for pickup” right before the store opens the next morning. The opening time is listed as 11 a.m., and the system clearly states that in-store pickup is possible.
However, when we arrive at the store, we are told that the phone is not available. This happens repeatedly — even though your website shows the device as available, in person, staff claim otherwise. Then, when we check another nearby store, it also shows availability online but gives the same answer in person.
This is extremely frustrating and misleading. People drive 30, 35, even 40 miles based on the information shown on your official website, only to be told there is no stock. If the item isn’t actually available, your online system should reflect that.
It’s hard to understand what kind of sales policy this is. Customers are not asking for anything for free — we’re paying customers who simply expect accurate information. The experience at the Reston location was especially disappointing. The staff were uninterested, unhelpful, and unable to answer even simple questions about the product or availability. Every question was dismissed with, “You need to talk to the manager.”
This level of service and inconsistency is unacceptable. I would not recommend shopping here, and I personally will never make another purchase from the Reston store.

Apple Reston in a soulless location. A spoke with the manager Sammy, today trying to get help. She just had me spend another basically whole day here waisting my time and my device is still broken. I have Apple care I don’t understand how the customer service is so awful….

Lazy employees couldn’t help my 70 year old mother with something as simple as password recovery. Wouldn’t let her call me either to help communicate. Told her to go to Verizon and when it was clearly an Apple issue and Verizon isn’t even their carrier..

It’s an Apple Store. I went to get a phone for my kid, and AirPods. I walked up, a guy took my order, then he said someone would help me, and left.
No one would help me, until he returns from his 20 minute break.
Then they forgot my AirPods.
Once we got rung up my ten year old started saying it took soooooo long he offered us a charger and I said no thanks and left.

Had a great experience here. Staff was knowledgeable and upgrade process was easy. Ended up here due to the fact we started at the T-Mobile store in Dulles Town Center. They make you use an App called T-Life for all upgrades now?? The T mobile then literally said for an easier and more pleasant upgrade experience we recommend going to the Apple Store
