I had my daughter at this school for about a year. It started off great, and in fact, it felt like a life saver to have camera's in the school to put our minds at ease when she was away from us. In the year and some change she was there, she went to three different classrooms, and our experience in each was drastically different, and progressively got worse and worse with time.To be fair, the director then, Kelly, was nice, and knew all the parents, and so was her assisstant, Vanessa. But, as time progressed, I saw things that were just bad. 1. Any time a parent said anything whether directly to the school director, or to the corporate office, they were labeled as "mean" or "too demanding,"Additionally, the manner Kelly spoke to some teachers was unacceptable- really degrading manner. There are times when two of the administrators would talk about the children in the school, one saying "this (girl) would be the future "hoochie" of her school because she was so pretty, and other being "dirty" looking. My issues began when I asked the school to take the kids outside. I was told its too cold, Then, as the weather got nicer and nicer, every time I would ask, I would be told, whatever lame excuse. They have an obligation to take the kids outside.July , I saw ants underneath and around the mats the infants crawl on. I asked the teacher and she informed Kelly, who in turn said it was "not a priority.” I voiced my concern to Vanessa, and was told "the exterminator will be contacted" every time I followed up, but no action was taken.Lastly, when asked about the food provided for the school, I was told all the food is canned, including the vegetables, with some exceptions. So, I asked to bring my own food, and to make it harder, may be as payback for contacting the corporate office, they demanded I bring a letter from my daughter pediatricians to allow it.Infant 1 room:Pros: The main teacher, Mamoona, is fantastic. All the babies love her, and she gives full attention to all the babies equally. When we were there, there were enough children to warrant a helper, and they too were always sweet to the babies.Cons: The babies are never taken out for walks, despite there being a buggy. If your child is not a "good" sleeper, it's difficult for the babies to sleep, since there is so much light, and the beds are adjacent to the play area/crying babies. At times, when the day was overwhelming, the babies would be in the rocker for a long time, but they have since eliminated. A lot of times the mgmt team would bring in older kids. This meant walking kids were in the room of babies who are not mobile, and some would hit the babies, or drop objects (not intentionally) on the babies.Infant 2:Pros: Most of the teachers are great, and they give attention to the kids. Sometimes books would be read.Cons: The classroom has ONE tiny window on the door. The kids are RARELY taken outside to play. SOMETIMES they would take them on a buggy ride inside the school, but rarely outside- or even to the gym next door to play when the weather was not good. These babies, including mine, would spend hours on end in this closed classroom, and no fresh air whatsoever. Luckily, my daughter was only there for 5 hours, so I made sure she got plenty, but all the other kids who are there for a whole day, that was it.Toddler :Pros: Some daily activities. Book reading. Self feeding. The teacher is nice as well. Are able to take the kids to the gym to walk around.Cons: if your child is part time, and is not there early in the morning, they do not get to participate in activities. When i voiced my concern, I was told I could bring her in earlier, instead of the school doing what it can to meet its obligations to all the kids. my daughter was not 18 months, and I was told it would be better for her, which I did not mind. Initially, I was told (and have the paper to prove it) that she would be charged the infant 2 rate but either way they had no room for my daughter in the infant 2 room

First off, the daycare is very nice especially for toddlers. When I went there though it wasn't meant for me. But I was older then the others which made sence. Because of my age difference some of the kids looked up to me. The kids there were nice n all but they should be more careful with who they hire. A staff there was nice to the others but always yelled at me and repeatedly made me sit out of activities because apparently Iwas "misbehaving". And he also blamed stuff on me for stuff I didn't even do. I don't know where he is now or if he still works there but I hope nobody else has to go through with what I did.

This was a great school for my son and myself. I used to work at a kindercare as a teacher. And I got to see a lot of the good and the ugly. And I was nervous looking for a daycare for my son since I knew so much already being a teacher before. I made the best decision by choosing child time. Two years being with them and watched my son become confident. Beautiful to watch. Thanks child time for such great service.

We have been with child time for a few months now our only regret is not moving our son here sooner. Teachers in 3/4 classrooms are trully exceptional. They are always smiling and eager to spend time with the children. Our son calls his primary teacher his friend!! What more can you ask for?His learning has accelerated and his personality is flourishing every day he is there. Everyone on the staff is amazingly helpfull, the other day I noted a small concern to the administrative staff and in less that 30 mins my concern was more than addressed.Even though everyone is amazing I must call our two teachers in particular. Ms Amaya makes dropping off our son seamless (sort of hurts my feelings sometimes that he is no longer needing us so much) and Ms Erin! I dont belive I have come across someone so warm with all the children and her attention to detail in reports makes us feel we are there with our son. TRULY AND EXCEPTIONAL AND AMAZING PLACE.

We love Childtime of Reston! The teachers are very loving and you can tell that they enjoy what they do. Childtime of Reston has an abundance of what is most important in childcare for your child - teachers that love the kids. They send you photos of your child everyday, they have very caring teachers, they are very responsive, they open at 6.30 and close at 6.30, no extra fees and the center is very clean. Child care in the metro DC area is expensive but this one is worth it. You have peace of mind knowing that your child is in good and loving hands. It is certainly one of the best day cares in the metro DC area and we say that because we visited quite a number of daycares before we settled on this one for our daughter. We love, love, love Childtime of Reston.

I absolutely love Childtime and I wish my son attended sooner! The management is great - always receptive and accommodating. Their summer camp program and annual curriculum is equally filled with fun activities and engaging assignments so that the kids are actively learning. My son always looked forward to going to school, which made my mornings so much easier. Keep doing what you're doing!

The staff and teachers at Childtime have been like a second family for us. From the infant roon through early-preschool, the teachers are loving, nurturing and encouraging with the kids. They also are very observant of your child's development and areas he/she may be struggling from coordination to relationship building to emotions. The teachers are excited to see each child, which helps establish a positive atmosphere right from the start. Safety and cleanliness were also very important for us in choosing a daycare, and they are both addressed above and beyond with a secure entrance and video cameras throughout the school. We also appreciate the email updates from our teachers and the photos they send throughout the day. I feel confident that my child will experience and learn new things every day. I have recommended this center to friends and would do so in the future.

Our son started at Childtime at 3 months. It was a challenging time for us as first-time parents, and I think it's hard for any daycare. Over the past year, we have been very happy with our experience. All his caregivers truly and genuinely care for him and offer a nurturing environment as does the management. We appreciate the app the school offers that allows us to receive a photo and updates on him throughout the day. Every day he is happy to go to Childtime and is happy when we pick him up. He just has a great time. With every place, there are things we would change. We wish they took him outside more and that there were windows in the Infant 2 room. Napping in a room with other children and lights on is nearly impossible for him, and he doesn’t sleep as much or as well as we would like, luckily, however, he’s a good overnight sleeper.Overall, we would highly recommend Childtime.
