I highly recommend Dr. Faheem Ahmed for your eye care needs, especially if you require surgical care for problems such as cataract etc. He is a wonderful doctor, caring and great at what he does.
His clinic is clean and efficient. The front desk receptionist pick up the phone (yes, you know what can happen when you call some doctor practices). The medical assistants who I have interacted with are great.
I am very pleased with the care I have received, and can recommend Dr. Faheem Ahmed as a great surgeon.

Dr. Ahmed recently did my cataract surgery in both eyes with the femtosecond laser. It is like a whole new world for me! My distance and intermediate vision is the best it has ever been without glasses. His knowledge of the field and bedside manner is impeccable. I would recommend him to all my friends and family. Thank you to Dr. Ahmed and his impressive staff!

Both my parents got their cataract surgery done by doctor Ahmed. We were so happy with the result from my dad’s operation that we didn’t have to think twice when it was time for my mom to remove her cataract. The level of care throughout the process from doctor Ahmed is truly unmatched.

He gave me my vision back! I was going blind with my cataracts. Dr. Ahmed installed the Panoptix Trifocal lenses into my eyes and I'm very happy with them. I didn't need glasses again after the first eye was done. Dr. Ahmed is a very careful surgeon. I had a minor cornea infection 2 weeks prior to scheduled surgery and he postponed my surgery to give me the care to resolve those issues. I was disappointed at the time but it was the right move. During surgery, Dr. Ahmed instills a lot of confidence. He's all business on surgery day and I really appreciated that. Eye surgery is a stressful situation and Dr. Ahmed's demeanor was very helpful in easing the stress. During my research, I looked for a surgeon with good reviews and as you see here, he has many. I recommend him highly and will encourage my friends who might need this life-changing surgery to choose Dr. Ahmed.

I have excellent eye sight but needed to see an opthalmologist for a persistent sensation of something in my eye. My husband goes to Eye Physicians of Virginia and really likes it. So I called for an appointment and asked to see the first doctor who had an appointment available in the time I needed it. I got an appointment with Dr. Ahmed and he diagnosed me with herpes simplex dendritic keratitis. I really liked him a lot. He's very personable, easy to talk to, and doesn't make you feel rushed. Most importantly under his care my eye is healing well. It's always a plus to have a doctor that is not only good at what he does but has a great personality. With both appointments, I got into see Dr. Ahmed very shortly after I arrived. Also, need to mention how great the staff is. Hi Debbie! The last time I left their Reston office I had a big smile on my face.

I had been having issues with my eyes, had pink eye and was referred to Dr. Ahmed by a trusted friend. A+! He is a very good doctor. It's not as scary going to an opthemologist as it is a dentist, but beyond trying to find good, well educated professionals, doctors are usually pretty bland and hustle you in and out. Faheem is awesome! Not only extremely skilled, but has a great personality for a doctor. I felt comfortable and at ease the entire visit. Very personable and I think that's something lacking in the medical world these days. If reading this and "looking" to schedule with Dr Ahmed, please do it. I recommend his practice very highly.
