Couldn't be happier with my experience with Mr. Bridges. After having all my dad's affairs basically dumped in my lap in 2024, having his taxes prepared was a major issue of heartburn. Mr. Bridges did a great job and allayed my fears. See you next year, Mr. Bridges and thanks again!

I do my taxes every year and it's a headache.
This year I handed my paperwork to someone else, they punched in the amounts just like I do every single year, told me what my headache was, and charged me $550 for it. I was then asked if I would like to pay another $40 for the accuracy guarantee: if my tax rep made a mistake H&R would pay for it. So I paid over $500 for my year of income to 'hopefully' be correct with no guarantee that it was filed correctly. For another $40 I can sleep peacefully.
I owed more this year than I ever have on top of 'trusting' someone else to fill out the form I've been filling out every year.
My tax specialist was a lovely person, considering we're discussing taxes, but there was no company consideration for saving me any money or finding me any refund in any column, so I will be saving hundreds by doing it myself next year, and the year after that.
You suck, H&R.

Worst H&R BLOCK. Linda Botsford filed my extension and was accepted. Then after there was no message. Office was closed and open one day out the week for 3-4 hours. Tried reaching out to her multiple occasions with no response. When tax season came back around of the next tax season I went into the office to figure out what’s going on and the staff couldn’t even find my taxes. Next day I get a call saying they found the documents and to pick it up. My taxes WERE NEVER FILED and I went through hr for H&R Block and the owner denied to pay for the filing fee and late fee after they held my taxes and trusted them to file it. There was never and response from the tax pro for months and months trying to reach out. I am in the process of filing mishandled taxes complaint with the IRS and looking to take legal action. After they made a mistake. They did nothing to try and fix or apologize. I’ve never had this terrible service from an H&R Block besides this one. LISTEN LINDA. Do you even exist?

Very bad experience at this location also with the same preparer another reviewer mentioned. Preparer made us feel uncomfortable and made several awkward bordering on inappropriate comments. We tolerated things since we just wanted to prepare our taxes and be done with things. Fast forward many weeks, turns out we were given inaccurate information and only received 10% of the refund we were expecting. No follow up support or explanation ever from this preparer or office. Do not recommend this branch at all! Very disappointed in the lack of professionalism and lack of expertise here.

I filed my paperwork with this office specifically with Linda B and patiently waited weeks for a response / confirmation. As the tax filing deadline neared, I began emailing, messaging and calling. No response for weeks. I ended up having to visit the office to demand some answers and the front desk was not very welcoming despite all of my trouble and stress of no responses from Linda. How is it that a large company cannot handle the typical volume for on-time filers? It wasn’t until Richard B got involved when I got some answers and service - he was great. The office and digital experience, not so much.

This location lost my original tax documents and failed to use my banking information (which has been in the system for years) for my tax returns, having me to wait for a refund by mail instead of being able to get auto deposit.

I would have been better off filing my taxes by myself. Absolutely no response from Linda Botsford for almost 2 weeks after submitting my tax docs online, and now I have to file an extension. The amount of time I’ve wasted trying to get an update from ANYONE is ridiculous. You’d think they’d be prepared for tax season, but apparently it’s quite the opposite. I also have the easiest tax return, my ‘tax professional’ last year got everything filed and submitted after a quick phone call that was less than 5 minutes. So frustrated!!

I had a bad experience at this location in February/March 2023. I set up a drop-off time online and brought my documents in, filled out some papers, and sat down with the tax preparer for a few minutes. I was told my taxes should be ready early the following week for signature. I had one document requested that I provided and then could not get a hold of the tax preparer (by phone, leaving number for reception, stopping in store, messages through H&R Block portal) for two weeks. I finally called H&R Block customer service and went to location to pick up my documents. It took me a little over an hour to do the taxes myself online through another provider. No plans on returning to H&R Block in the future.

This review is for Mike Estock, who was incredibly kind and helpful to us over the past weekend. We had a small emergency and this was the only office open on Saturday, and we really needed a few questions answered so that we wouldn’t be worrying over nothing all weekend. Mike went above and beyond to help us, squeezing us in even though he was booked all day and the only one in the office. We really can’t thank him enough for his help and professionalism.
