Our son has been an Ideaventions student for the past four years during which we have been delighted to watch him flourish intellectually, socially, and emotionally. This growth is particularly notable considering the disruption caused by the pandemic. Ideaventions excels at providing a challenging but supportive learning environment. I am always impressed at how the curriculum has been designed to bridge different disciplines. Finally, the administration and teachers are top-notch -- responsive, open to suggestions, and clear.

This is our first year and I can't speak highly enough of the staff, faculty and student body. The curriculum is thoughtful, encourages critical thinking. While the school has a strong focus in math and science, my child is getting a well rounded education with classes in Language Arts, History, Community, etc., electives in art, foreign languages and history of food as well as after school fun like drama, sports and animal lovers clubs! The daily updates are informative detailing by class what my child did that day and I like the sneak peak into the upper grade levels. The teachers encourage the students to advocate for themselves but are always on hand to help!My child has developed strong friendships with kids at various grade levels which shows that there is a common comradery and closeness in this community. It has been difficult scheduling Dr. appointments, etc. because she doesn't want to miss a minute of her time at IA.The best review I can give comes from my child who says that Ideaventions Academy "is the best school ever!" and we wholeheartedly agree.

We are not alone. The COVID-19 pandemic changed our lives in many ways, but taking our rising 5th grader out of public school and moving to Ideaventions Academy in fall 2020 was an unbelievable gift. The school size and focus allows them to be highly flexible, adaptable and still provide a challenging learning environment online. The online learning was spectacular, only to be out done by an amazing in-person learning experience (even when distanced, and masked). We appreciate the enriched and challenging curriculum, focused classes and block schedule, and the opportunity to select electives (in lower school!). Our daughter loves the students, the teachers, and the community it provides her. Every opportunity to be at school--she is there. She is with like-minded students who are genuinely curious and eager to be in an active-learning environment with the world around them. The teachers in the school are truly committed to your child's development and well-being--they know our daughter. Feedback we receive is highly personalized, thoughtful, and actionable. The teachers are subject matter experts, trained in their disciplines (engineering, neuroscience, economics, history, etc) who also love to teach, and are really good at it. They challenge the students yet are engaging and inspiring which builds confidence. The school directors are committed to the mission of the school, and every decision they make is intentional and with the best interest of the kids in mind. We never intended on sending our daughter to private school, then the pandemic came along--now I can't imagine taking this opportunity away from her. Everyday, we are grateful she is there--engaged, focused on what matters--and in love with learning.

When we first joined Ideaventions Academy, we wondered whether it would be possible to sustain our child's enthusiasm for their new school. Four years later, he still starts every day excited to learn and be a part of this amazing community. Staff that authenticaly care about each student, curriculum that imparts learning in creative and practical ways, and an energy and vibe that his hard to capture in words.

Ideaventions Academy has been great for our son. We had a complete reversal in terms of attitude and happiness as it related to school and education. The small class size allows for more focused and thorough understanding of the materials.

We are so glad to have enrolled our child at Ideaventions. Our son was previously in an Advanced Academic Placement (AAP) school in Fairfax County, and we observed that he was not being academically challenged. This prompted us to look at different private schools. Ideaventions was such a great fit for him. The class sizes are smaller than public school, and they have a strong emphasis on science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Our son is thriving there and he talks non-stop about what he's learning in his classes. Their curriculum is rigorous, and they employ a hands-on learning experience with individual attention to help the students understand concepts and learn how to apply them. They also encourage our son to go as far as he can academically (e.g., as a 4th grader, he is now learning 7th grade math). Our son loves his school and we couldn't ask for a better learning environment for him than Ideaventions.

I toured today with my wife and son and we were blown away. For a brief moment, I actually wished I was back in middle school again.

A wonderful team of teachers, a great science and engineering curriculum, and individually paced math set this school above all others in the area for advanced students.

Our son has been attending classes here for several years. The owners both have a strong base in science and math- turning their knowledge into a science & technology experience unequaled in the DC metropolitan area. There are plenty of great camps out there, but Ideaventions has shown our son how to think creatively using science and technology. Something no other camp has done. 5 stars to these guys. They would get 10 if Google had the option!
