Our sweet girl is in elementary school, but comes to KinderCare for the entire summer and any time when FCPS is off from school. The staff members are all so kind and approachable. And as the mama of a school age kiddo, I really appreciate how many different activities/themes they do throughout the summer. It keeps my daughter so entertained and excited for 10 weeks!

This is a fantastic early education center; the directors and teachers are awesome! Teachers know what they're doing, there are no unnecessary demands on parents and everyone is very flexible to accommodate the needs of families, especially working families. . We had a scary experience at another (popular/in-demand) school, after which KinderCare Lake Newport has been a refreshing and pleasant experience. I never have to worry that the school will be closed for random reasons. And they are open during several holidays means that I can use my day off to take care of chores, e.g., the days between Christmas and New Year. The building is surrounded by nature with ample outdoor play area which is a huge plus. My daughter is developing very well under the teachers here!

We've been so happy with our KinderCare! Our son has been going since he was 4 months old, and the teachers are always so kind and attentive to our family. The activities they do with the babies are great, and the lack of staff turnover has been very reassuring for us. The center has been great at communicating and enforcing new safety procedures during COVID, and Donna and Jessica are always so accommodating whenever we have a request or question. We're very fortunate to have such great childcare so close to home!

Lake Newport KinderCare is nothing short of an extension of our family! They have always gone the extra mile to ensure we are all cared for and supported. From our first visit when we were pregnant, to placing our daughter in their hands at just three months old, to navigating uncharted territory during a global pandemic, they have guided and reassured us through it all! The excellent communication from Ms. Donna, Ms. Jessica, and all the other teachers is simply superb. We also can't brag enough about the activities offered. They are fun, educational, and executed with the utmost care. We never have a worry in the world leaving our child in their hands every day, because we know they will always treat her as if she was their own. There just aren't enough words to describe how wonderful Lake Newport KinderCare is. Thank you all for all you do!

Cannot say enough good things about this center. My oldest did pre-k there and my youngest has been there since he was 6 months old and is now a Kindergartner who will do 2 days a week of his virtual learning there. We just can't say goodbye yet! The teachers are amazing and loving and structured. The center directors, Donna & Jessica, are equally amazing - most of the staff has been there for a long time which is so nice as you get that sense of stability & the kiddos are so comfortable walking through that door. I'd highly recommend anyone to entrust their child with this wonderful team of teachers and caregivers.

We have been taking our two kids to Lake Newport KinderCare for a couple of years and they are awesome. Super friendly and attentive staff, excellent programs for kids of all ages, flexible scheduling, and a really good value. Further, during COVID times they have adapted to provide a safe learning and day care environment where my wife and I feel safe sending our kids.

We are very happy with Lake Newport Kindercare, our kids have been there for a few years now, and they love going to "school". The teachers really care about the kids, and demonstrate the utmost professionalism on a daily basis. We get daily reports and pictures of the kids activity. We have had nothing but positive experiences here.

In the 2+ years we've been with Lake Newport Kindercare, I have experienced nothing but love and care for our children. Every teacher knows every child and every parent. The infant care is superb. My children are growing and learning wonderfully. The newest director, Ms. Donna, has made amazing changes to update and move the school forward in a positive direction. If you are looking for a small, welcoming, loving environment for your child, this is the place to be.

Our family has had an amazing experience since moving to the Lake Newport Kinder Care! The staff is so knowledgeable, kind and loving. They work hard to make sure your children are up to speed academically, but also care so much about how they are doing socially and emotionally. Some of the special things they offer are side academic programs such as music, cooking and phonics. We have even been offered parent breakfasts, take home dinners and parents night out! Donna, Jessica and the whole Kinder Care staff are just amazing! Thank you for all you do!

My husband and I have been to at least 3 other daycare centers around the area and decided to come here for its value and convenience of location. I will be honest I was not impressed with the previous Center Director. She always seemed angry making everyone feel uncomfortable, not available for follow ups/chats and very poor & inequate on outgoing communications. I have called the KC headquarter a few times to verify the policies and guidelines because I felt like I was mislead. I considered switching but I absolutely adore my teachers in the infant room so made it very hard to make a decision. Well, needless to say I am glad we stayed, Jessica (Assistant Director) has always been amazing throughout the year and new Director, Donna’s been great and very responsive which is what I would expect from a Center Director who oversees and in charge of the operation.My daughter absolutely loves all of her teachers in the infrant and toddler room. She gets super excited to see them in the morning and theres been times when she didn’t want to get picked up & go home. Made us sad but I love that she loves & feels comfortable with them. Lack of turnover has definitely helped not only myself but my daughter to transition easily. I would give a solid 10/10 on all the teachers I’ve gotten to know & meet. They are great with kids and it’s nice to know they have the best interests in them and I don’t need to worry about my daughters wellbeing which is a great feeling & assurance to have. My baby has been enrolled for a couple months now. I love how ALL the teachers sincerely care about him. When he started walking everyone mentioned it and it me made me feel like they all have a genuine interest in the development of my child. He enjoys being at Kinder Care and doing all the crafts. They have a detailed daily report, and every month you receive the curriculum of activities and even songs they're learning. Agnes, the director, has a great energy and gets everyone else in the same spirit.

My 5 year old granddaughter attends this Kinder Care and she is so happy, well taken care of, well fed and ALWAYS eager to go every day that she attends. The staff and teachers here are fantastic especially the director, Agnes Barton. The staff really cares about each and everyone of the kids and treats them as if they are their own. This place is the best childcare in Reston, VA as we have tried others and find that there is no better. This center not only watches and takes care of the children but does activities with them and takes them out weekly on field trips. This center is a place where you can have your child or children cared for and have a peace of mine while you are away from them.

The review is from bottom of my heart.I am thank full to the Director Agnes & Ms.Lindsey for all the care&love they showed it my son!!!!!The reason we sent our son to Lake newport kinder care in Reston was Ms.Mahnaz,our friend strongly suggested Ms.Mahnaz,as she is good with kids,before that my son went to a regular school,where staff were not good he was not happy.So we put him in Lake new port KCMy son's favourite staff is Ms.Lindsey,I have to mention this,she is doing an awesome job with passion.Her love &approch towards kids is amazing.My son still miss her.May god bless you MS.Lindsey !!!!I have high respect for Ms.Agnes,she thinks & understands from parent perspective,that really helped us,she is very organized,very friendly and reply s to the e-mail quickly& keep us posted about everything.She is a great director!!!!I strongly recommend Lake Newport kinder care,for parents who want their kids to be taken care with love&passion.I have to thank the staff in Lake Newport KC, Ms.Tania,Ms.Marge,Ms.Karla,Ms.Sonia & Ms.MahnazNow we moved our son from Lake Newport KC&to a different KC for the sake of commute.We miss it a lot!!!!!thank you all for your care &love for my Son,God bless !!!!

We have had a variety of issues with this center, but they got significantly worse after the center director of 20+ years was forced to resign. The issues included a teacher roughly grabbing my 3-year-old by the arm while I was watching. She was upset with how he was playing on the playground. He cried out, "Stop, you're hurting me!" as she dragged him. I spoke to the new center director and to her credit she did seem appropriately concerned about how inappropriate the teacher's behavior was and promised to address it.Also following the resignation there was a lot of teacher turnover, where unfortunately the majority of our favorite teachers at the center left, many whom had been there for 10+ years. We have since left the center and are having ongoing issues with getting our account credit refunded to us. It has been nearly four months.I learned the hard way that there was a reason this center didn't have a waiting list, like the majority of other child care facilities in Reston. I especially regret not leaving KinderCare sooner now that we've moved on to a new child care facility and are experiencing better quality and standards.
