Supposed to be a walk in clinic. My daughter walked in. The woman at the clinic took another person who walked in after her first. And then someone had an appointment. Finally after my daughter had waited an hour and a half the very unpleasant woman told her she couldn't serve her because she didn't have an appointment. This was a baldface lie but my daughter didn't know that. My daughter definitely got the impression that the woman didn't like something about her. The silver lining here is just that I'm glad my daughter didn't risk getting medical attention from this kind of unprofessional person. This was the South Lakes Reston Minute Clinic on Saturday 12/2/2023.Follow up: I tried to call someone at Minute Clinic to report this individual. On hold for nearly an hour before getting a live person.Spoke to a customer service person and her supervisor. Basically they defended the person in the store. Long story short, despite all the advertising, it's not really a walk in clinic. If you don't have an appointment, you may get seen, or not. The person on site has complete discretion. Appointments obviously take precedence. But even if there's no one else in the store, you can be denied service. No one will ever bother to check whether there were really other appointments for the time slot. If the person on site doesn't like your looks or anything else, they can just turn you away.Note, if you haven't made an appointment or been seen, Minute Clinic won't even accept a complaint in their system.

Provider didn’t identify herself or state her qualifications. She was 1:01 late for the appointment. Didn’t treat my laceration and just gave me a prescription. Worst medical appointment I’ve ever had.

Wife went in a week ago with a cough. One NP prescribed a steroid and inhaler said she would follow up one week later and prescribe an antibiotic if no improvement. One week no improvement and my wife missed the call while at work. She went back to the MinuteClinic and they said she needed to make another appointment. This time she saw a different woman who refused to prescribe the antibiotic. My wife left crying and when she got home the lady called her back and threatened to call 911 on her if she didn't go to the ER (which this certainly doesn't warrant). Way to go MinuteClinic - winning hearts and minds

Nurse practitioner Grace was an ER trauma physician, she definitely knows what she's talking about. Facilities are a bit barebones (no x-ray) but it's worth a go if your only other option is escalation to ER. Doc is able to prescribe basic medications and follows up with calls.Scheduling is in 30 minute slots, with sizable lunch breaks and relatively poor hours. Most of the 1 star reviews seem to be by people who don't understand how their insurance works.

I truly cannot recommend this place less. I went in after having symptoms of a sinus infection for 6 days. The woman who saw me did not introduce herself to me or give me her credentials so I can’t even say who it was. Her examination was just looking in my ears and remarking that I looked “congested.” She then told me she wouldn’t give me an antibiotic because I wasn’t sick for 7 days (I was less than 24 hours short of 7 days with pretty significant symptoms) and instead recommended essential oils, OTC remedies that I reminded her I’d been using for 6 days, and something called tiger balm. I’m all about OTC remedies but if I’m at the point where I go to the doctor, I know I’m sick and need something stronger. When I finally strongly requested an antibiotic, she kept trying to give me one’s I was clearly allergic to (like amoxicillin when my chart states im allergic to penicillin drugs). This could have been legitimately dangerous for a patient who wasn’t as aware of their allergies. Overall, I’ll never return here. I paid urgent care prices for a complete waste of time.

Before getting hearing aids, I was told to visit an urgent care center or minute clinic to have the wax in my ears removed. I chose the Minute Clinic inside CVS on South Lakes Drive in Reston as it is very close to my home. I received top-notch, first class care here and wanted to share this with others who are contemplating using this hub. I saw Grace Soistman, NP, and Obal, NR, who were knowledgeable, professional, and caring. They carefully explained my options and the initial procedure they recommended. I especially appreciated their caution in trying a less invasive procedure first. Because I used ear drops to dissolve the wax, I avoided the possibility of using an intrusive instrument that could possibly damage my ear drum. After using the drops for 10 days, I returned to find one ear was completely clear and the other only needed a curettage to scoop out the remaining wax. I left with a big smile on my face and thankful for the great care I received. They gave me a summary sheet outlining my treatment, the causes of wax build-up, and how to keep from getting build-up in the future. Finally, they sent the information to my primary care provider. I had no idea this was covered by Medicare. The charge was reasonable and much less than an urgent care center.

Fine experience. They said the test they were running would be covered, spent a few minutes double checking before they said anything. Got bill for 70$. 170$ visit for a strep test, and my insurance covered only 100$ of it... Something about a specific kind of test they run there.Don't go here for strep tests. Not sure about anything else.

Expensive!! My family doesn’t have insurance, so we were ready to pay the average fee for ear wax removal ($100-$200). I took my dad in for the procedure and was charged over $100 for one of the NPs to tell me to buy an OTC ear drops kit. Then, she told me to come back for the earwax removal, which would be another visit charge of the same cost. The total cost was almost $300.

This location is clean, organized, and everyone is willing to help from the staff to the provider. I work in healthcare and I could say that the nurse practitioner Grace is definitely one of the best!

Had a terrible vertigo and vomiting. This clinic is closest to our office so my coworker brought me here instead of the E.R out of panic. But I am so thankful that she did! I was seen quickly by the Nurse Practitioner Grace who was very calm, collected, and reassuring throughout the whole visit. She gave me a medication and I was feeling better minutes later. I cried at the end of the visit because I was initially convinced I was having a stroke. Grace was knowledgeable, compassionate, and reassuring. She answered all my questions and gave me handouts to understand my diagnosis, explained the medications and plan. I cannot say enough about this experience. I would rather go here than the E.R anytime, even if I have to pay! SO WORTH IT !!! QUALITY !! Thank you Grace!

I brought my daughter for ear infection, the doctor that time refuse to see her without covid test. We try again the next day, it was more busy, the monitor outside said it would be a 30 to 45 min wait which to me was questionable. We went and got something to drink came back 25min later and the place was cleared out with the exception of 1 patient which was honestly in and out in 5min! All while getting great care I can imagine by 1 Dr. Grace Soistman whom was the ONLY doctor that day, which says something about her abilities. Dr. Soistman bedside manner was impeccable!!! The care and treatment she gave my child was so humbling and caring and thorough. Not only did she examine and treat my daughter's ear infection. She personally took my child to the toy section and let her choose anything. She bought my daughter expensive toy and chocolates! Yes for Real! This is NOT something you see in todays society! To Dr. Soistman our hats off to you and your kindness! We want to say thank you for your wonderful service. We hope more doctors learn your bedside manner.

First let me say this is the cleanest and most professional clinic I have ever been to. The attending NP Grace is the best of the best! She was knowledgeable, professional and efficient. Her caring attitude was refreshing. All in all, a great experience. Highly recommend!
