I stopped by for a state inspection and oil change and ended up in an uncomfortable situation when a customer who had left his car earlier returned and got upset about the line. He was aggressive, even called me a name, but I stayed calm and offered to let him go ahead to avoid making things worse.
What really stood out was how the staff handled it. They were professional and respectful to both of us, even in the middle of tension. The store manager went above and beyond to keep things running smoothly, making sure I was taken care of quickly and kindly. They truly turned a stressful moment into a positive experience.
Excellent service, efficient work, and a great team. This is hands down the best spot in the area. 10/10 recommend, I’ll definitely be back.

They are totally terrible. I took my car in for a safety inspection and they failed me. They said they couldn't adjust the defrost, even though I have been adjusting it with pliers for years. I thought whatever, I can finally get them repaired there as nothing else wrong with the car. Then the guy who says he is the manager does a 1 minute Google search and says oh I can't find any knobs you need to call the dealer blah blah. I was very upset leaving. He forces me to pay $20 despite dissatisfaction. Then I call him back, and when I mentioned the pliers, he says the pliers weren't readily available. He talked to me like a know it all jerk on the phone. Terrible customer service. The Sunoco in Centreville and a different place in Chantilly has passed me for years. This is the worst Service Center, I have ever been to in my life. Do not go for any inspections. I would never trust them again. Definitely not friendly and poor customer service. Why didn't he ask for the pliers when I was there? Because he was hoping I would buy some knobs from a dealer or ebay and pay his service center to install them. That shows you just how untrustworthy they are. When asking about pliers could have solved this, he tried to pull one over me instead.

We took one of our cars here for diagnostics because we live nearby. They charged $170 for diagnostics only. They also recommended $5000!!! in maintenance work. I've been driving for 47 years and have never paid $5000 for maintenance. Shocked at what they recommended, we took the car to the shop we've been using for years (which is located farther away). They did diagnostics + changed the oil and filter for $145. I asked if they thought the car needed any additional service, and they said if it had they would have recommended it.
The last time we took our cars to North Point Sunoco for state inspection, we left with $1000+ bill for repairs. In the future, we will have our regular shop do state inspections and all maintenance/repairs and won't be using North Point Sunoco for anything other than refueling.

Frank and the crew at NP Sunoco are great! They are very professional, friendly, wonderful customer service, and a delight to work with. I will not hesitate to take my car there next time we need them serviced!!

I have a 2014 Civic. We got the transmission serviced. 200 miles later, the check transmission indicator came up. We brought it back to North Point Sunoco... they did some verifications and sent us onward to the dealer for a matching recall. There was no matching recall, the dealer says the transmission is dead... speed sensor is melted and can't be removed... transmission oil is dark and has shards of metal (which can mean anything).Now I am on the hook for an $8k transmission repair.Long story, short and without hysteria... I can no longer trust repair work to North Point Sunoco. Either they didn't see what the dealer saw or they were partly responsible for the transmission failure.Sure, there's room for doubt... Maybe it's a faulty Honda transmission. They're nice enough guys but this has gotten too costly for me to ever take anything other than an inspection back to this shop.

I got shut down by a suddenly failed alternator the morning before I was scheduled for a road trip north and so called Sunoco near my home and explained my predicament. The manager said, “No problem, just bring the car in before noon and we will get it done.” They emailed me a pre-authorization so the parts were already on order before I got there and the car was done by 4 pm. Fast response and good work. I had a worry free trip!!! :-)
