I trusted PetSmart to care for my dog for a single overnight stay, and the experience was unacceptable. I provided clear instructions, her food, and detailed notes about her needs. When I picked her up nearly 24 hours later, it was obvious none of it had been followed.
Her food was untouched. She hadn’t been fed. Worse, she hadn’t been taken outside the entire time to relive herself. I told them upfront that she has to be taken outside in order to relieve herself because she will not do so at any cost indoors, no matter the indoor environment, even if it’s a potty area. I would’ve gladly paid a fee if outdoor walks were considered an extra service since it would’ve meant my dog’s basic needs would’ve been met. However, she held her bladder until I arrived, only to release it fully the moment I took her out, which is extremely unhealthy and distressing for any dog.
The staff projects their stress openly in the environment for all the customers to hear they’re hesitant to answer your questions about the Care that they provided — dancing around the answers.
This isn’t just poor service; it’s neglect. If a facility can’t meet the most basic needs of feeding and bathroom breaks, it should not be advertising itself as a place of care. I will never trust PetSmart with my dog again, and I strongly caution other pet owners against doing so.

Always an easy in and out here. Usually do pick up orders and they're fast and friendly about it. Great location 👌🏼

I took my cat in for the touch-up package—which included ear cleaning, a thorough brushing, and nail trimming—and the whole visit took just 15 minutes. It was only $30, which is an amazing value for the quality of service. The staff were incredibly kind and gentle with my cat, and she seemed relaxed and happy afterward. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for quick, affordable, and caring pet grooming!

I don't know if it's all PetSmarts or something, but this store and the Chantilly one are not adequately air conditioned and that makes it a very uncomfortable environment to shop in. No issues with staff or supplies.

Love this place. This is our residence for the 2 fur kids we have. Our hotel and lots of activities for them. Love the place the people are very friendly and the place can't even smell that's its pets hotel and playground. I love it. Made my fur kids feel at home. I am sure they took care of our Yunjie and Chadlea when they are both staying with them. I am looking forward to continuing to use their help when our dogs need a place to stay and play with their friends.

The manager Stacey was incredibly unhelpful and rude. When we were buying a prescription food, she told us we would need a prescription. And when we asked her if we can contact our vet she somehow got agitated and started repeating “I would just need to see the prescription” multiple times, and made the whole conversation really odd. We never questioned what she asked for but were only asking reasonable questions, yet it looked like her authority was offended and she couldn’t deal with it.

It's incredible how many positive reviews I read on this site. And I thought this was the best place to bring my dog. However, it turned out to be the worst decision I have made so far on 2024. They are not as experienced with all types of dogs as they claim to be. They only want to care for dogs that are not impressionable, whereas my dog has personality. He is a scaredy-cat and wary of people he doesn't know. I understand that many people are afraid and say they are not, which makes the animal more wary.
I am grateful they took my dog in so I could go on vacation, and the three managers who did their best to care for him—Joanne, Shy, and Courtney—deserve accolades. They are marvelous people whom I will always work with. However, the rest of the crew I encountered should find a better profession. I know that if those managers weren't on duty, my dog was neglected.
I brought him into the hotel with no marks or diseases, but when he came home, he was full of rashes, scabs, and pain. He couldn't sit or lie down for long, and his skin was red and infected. This was surprising because I sent him with medication to prevent skin disorders or fungus, and that is exactly what it looks like he has. It appears they left him in the kennel sleeping in his own filth, not caring for him. He lost weight as well; his leash slipped right off his neck the first day he came home.
Why take in a dog and then torture him? This dog doesn't know suffering; he is treated like a king at home. He doesn't go outside without wearing shoes or apparel. He has a bed, and his food trays aren't even touching the floor. At home, he is treated like royalty. Here, it felt as if he was living in a horror movie. I am sure those sweet dogs with no personality are treated like the best thing on earth, but my baby was treated like an alien from outer space.
I really didn't want to spoil the reviews by adding the truth, but now I have to take my baby to the veterinarian to make sure none of the findings are life-threatening, which will be costly. If you have an American bully pocket or any of those breeds that are being targeted, please don't bring him here. He will be ostracized and judged and treated badly by some of the employees.

One of the better PetSmarts. Their grooming services are excellent; they took great care of my kitten. They have everything you’d need in-store and the staff is always friendly and helpful.
