I took the beginner course over the weekend and it was absolutely brilliant. Heidi is such a great teacher. She explains everything step by step in a really clear, easy to follow way. My pottery has come on so much over the two days and I am looking forward to joining the weekly lessons this week. Really amazing place and I am so pleased I found it.

I’ve been taking ongoing wheel classes with Heidi for over two years, and I absolutely love my time at TealNest. Heidi and the other teachers at TealNest are patient, knowledgeable, and always ready to help. The studio is clean, well-equipped, and filled with inspiring works by other potters.
TealNest is like a second home to me. It’s a place where you can relax, be creative, and meet wonderful artists. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking to unwind and get creative!

So happy to have found this place and this group of teachers and students to create pottery with. Everyone is so creative and helpful to one another. It's my happy place to come to every week to learn and create something new.

The owner is one of the sweetest woman I’ve ever met. I took my dad and had the best time. I will 100% be back. Heidi was responsive patient and helpful. Honestly she’s a queen. Loveliest experience.

I took a couple’s beginner pottery workshop with my husband and we had a great time! Heidi did a fantastic job making the process accessible for beginners and it really helped us feel empowered to learn more! The class made 2 bowls each in our 1 beginner’s workshop which is a great deal!

Teal Nest is a wonderful, intimate pottery studio with incredibly talented instructors! I lucked out and had Heidi as my instructor and learned so much, she’s incredibly inspirational and encouraging, and had beautiful, challenging projects for us. I treasure the friendships I made there — it’s an amazing place to learn pottery.

The class was a lot of fun, we learned in a couple hours how to make simple, yet after glazing very pretty bowls. Heidi was great and she made the whole experience even better by remembering that it was my fiances birthday. Thank you!

My husband and I had an incredible time there. We learned so much, and Heidi was hilarious. We really enjoyed the 3 hr couples class and I hope that I can get in on a beginners class. I think what I love the most is that Heidi really wants you to learn how to do this which is so appreciated.

We took a couples class with Catherine and Valeska and had a great time. It was a small class and they made time to walk everyone through the process and help when we made mistakes!

My husband and I did a couple workshop with Catherine. It was an amazing experience doing pottery for the first time. Very small class, great instructor, and you get to keep your products!

Just did a class on sugar bowl and creamer pottery class. 3 hours long and the instructor Catherine was great! Excellent class for beginners and just wanting to experience making something functional. Catherine Really was prepared and had all the steps mapped out for success! Definitely recommend taking a class here with her.

The class we took was so much fun. The teacher was amazing and showed us exactly what to do, but without too much direct supervision. We came out with two pieces of glazed pottery each!

Had a good time at a beginning wheel workshop tonight that my friend invited me to! There were 6 participants total, and a great instructor, Catherine. We got two tries at throwing a clay piece, and if you want to keep both pieces, rather than pick one to keep, you just pay $5 for the second one (which is a very fair price I think considering they do all the remaining steps to dry, fire, and glaze it for you). I look forward to seeing the final products after all those steps. This studio is tucked out of sight, but you don’t want to miss it.Note- apparently workshop participants can bring their own drinks if you like (snacks are provided).
