They claimed two of my packages were attempted to be delivered yesterday, yet there’s no CAMERA footage of them going through past my mailbox!! Then they want to be rude when you call them out on their dishonesty!

I have a longer driveway. Ill frequently find a note in the mailbox saying they attempted to deliver an item that required a signature, When I been home all day, no one attempted to deliver. They just didn't want to take the time to drive to the actual house and try. Easier for them to make you come get it.They have even left the package halfway up the driveway, ON the pavement...on the hill... the time they did this UPS brought the package the rest of the way.

By far the WORST post office I have ever dealt with. Rude blonde woman at the front desk, lazy delivery people who can't be bothered to drive up a driveway but instead put packages in tall grass, behind trash cans, on top of rocks, or just the middle of the driveway so it can be run over, and now today my package gets left outside while actively raining on an uncovered deck when there is a covered porch in the front. Seriously, get your S*** together!

Rixeyville... you can't get a much quainter village than this! There's a country store, a church or two, a fire station, of course, the ubiquitous post office!! This hamlet, named after a U.S. Congressman, John Franklin Rixey, is an incorporated community of mostly rural rolling hills and sprawling farmland. It's not far from Culpeper, about 8 miles north on Route 229. There is a brewery tucked along a side road, and several nearby wineries! Serving a population of about 3,000, this "newer" post office looks like it used to be an old granary or storage facility. It's a cool, blue rustic building and the post master there, Belinda, gave me a warm, hearty welcome when I walked in. She gave me a bit of history about the town and the post office, informing me that the original post office opened about 1818 and used to be located across the street in the country store. Several members of the Rixey family had served as postmaster in the 1800's and early 1900's. After our chat, I went over to the back of store and took some pics of the original post boxes and cashier window. Such a fascinating history, which is why I'm addicted to post offices and the whole postal system! I'm reading a book "To the Letter" that tells the amazing history of letter writing, letter collections and post office stories! The inside of this country post office was pristine and I just had to purchase some stamps here because I just enjoyed how friendly the I was greeted. To give this post office more "curb appeal", I'd move all those unsightly storage bins on the side of the building and power wash the rafters. Be sure to check out the "owl" perched in the rafters as well! It's a hoot! Hours: M-F 8-12, 1-4:30; Sat 9-11, no passport service; drive by dromailbox deposit in the front of the building.

Recently I moved back to Culpeper from DC/NOVA and do not use my physical wallet. I tried to pay with my Phone using Apple Pay and the blonde woman behind the counter laughed at me, huffed, puffed, and locked her jaw in annoyance she said no we don’t have that as if I was from another planet. Covid caused many places to update their payment processing machines to accept verifone or Apple Pay to cut down on spreading of COVID. She then began to say it was insane that she had to cancel the order and that I used her tape. I had the funds to pay for my packages and the tape but if she had kindly said “unfortunately we don’t take that form of payment I can cancel this and we will see you tomorrow.” She made a huge deal out of this. I was out of the post office by 4:35pm which to her felt like waiting 5 hours after closing. I understand it’s a busy time of year for the post office which Is why I was very nice to her from the beginning and tried to let it go until the 3rd or 4th very clear comment from her and eyes being rolled at me. I almost said if you can give me 5 minutes I Will run across the street where I live and grab my wallet but I felt no need to help someone so inconvenienced by the fact that she had to do her job before closing time.

As an executive assistant I deal with post offices on a regular basis. I have never been disrespected or made to feel like a bother anywhere else but this post office. The old woman with blonde, curly hair said to me “Wow the guys are going to love this…… NOT” in a rude and demeaning tone. She went out of her way to make me feel bad for simply expecting that the post office do their job. I was polite and went out of my way to apologize and thank her despite all of this. If you can avoid this awful experience I would! No one deserves attitude and disrespect for no reason.

Don’t even bother with this place! Go to literally ANY OTHER USPS. They are so incredibly rude. It’s always very apparent when I go in there that I am bothering them and they’d rather be doing anything else than helping me. Ive experienced this on MANY occasions and I have witnessed times they’ve acted like that toward other customers as well. Unfortunately it has been so easy for me to go since I’m only 2 minutes away. Honestly at this point I’ll be driving the extra 15 minutes to go to the USPS in town. It’s really not hard to be polite to others. The way they treat people is saddening.

Very rude staff.Lady with curly blond hair is very rude. I asked her today if I can pay with credit card, she said “I rather you pay with cash because we pay a fee for credit cards.”I said I only had a debit card and no cash. She sighed very loud and said “fine, you can use a debit card if you prefer “ with an undertone to let me know that I’m annoying her.Always smells like cigarettes in that room and my mail stinks like cigarette smoke every day.Tall younger guy is always rude, let’s you know that you annoy him.Only nice and generously friendly person is the older guy with a hat who delivers the mail.

Thanks for breaking my mailbox. Next time, I would appreciate you delivering my boxes to my door. Just please don't break anything on my house. Poor service.

Not usually too busy, everyone is helpful and easy to deal with. Would rather ship from here than a bigger one any time.

Very rude! Tried to accuse me of writing return to sender on my own mail rather than believe that her driver mistakenly put them in wrong mailbox.
