Really unpleasant staff Sunday (12/03) evening and unprofessional behavior.I had corporate booking for a car with a co-worker. Once at the counter the agent made me paid with my credit card and asked me to repay a second time because they didn't get the receipt. The charge was already was already showing on my account (thanks internet banking). Not really keen to pay again and questioning why, I was only sayed in an aggressive way "to relax" and if not satisfied to go for another rental company.Left without choice my colleague had to repay has we couldn't stay stuck in the airport.The charge still show on my account and I will now have to work to get it reimbursed.

Very fast, Friendly, and efficient! The staff was helpful, and they got me directed to a car that fit my family's needs over ten days. We traveled with the vehicle out of town and it was nice knowing that Avis was there to help. The vehicle was clean and ready to go! Thanks

Again, third time in a row an amazing and experience at the Roanoke Airport Avis. The person behind the desk was amazing and helping me check in, and as usual I was running late for my flight to leave, and he expedited everything for me. Thank you avis! I'm going to use you again at the end of the month

HORRIBLE.!! They gave me a smaller car than the one I reserved, the front bumper looks like someone previously had hit something. I was told I could take time out of my trip/vacation to travel to Avis in another state airport and see if a different car was “maybe” available, I will not be going back to Avis again.

Very bad place overcharge! And they don’t tell you all the price til you get there after they charge you well over crazy amount then they wanna charge more then more! Then cancel your reservation so your completely screwed!

The reason for the poor rating is because I had reserved a 7 seater for a family vacation only to arrive and be told by the attendant that debit cards were not accepted after being assured by the telephone agent otherwise. I then left, went to enterprise, and had a great vacation.

I had not rented from Avis in quite a while. The pandemic affected my travel. When I decided to take a trip and rent a car, I decided AVIS was my "GO-TO-RENT-A CAR. I got the car I wanted. Persons at the counter were courteous and accommodating.

The rental process was extremely easy. The vehicle given to me was just what I had asked for. Will definitely use avis again in the future.

When shopping around for the rental we needed to take on our family vacation, Avis was the only store with availability of the vehicle we needed and the time we needed to rent the vehicle. Pick up and drop off was a breeze with prompt & friendly staff. They had everything from mustangs to 12 passenger vans and I was extremely surprised and happy to see the organization and availability of the rentals. We needed washer fluid before taking off on our trip and the employee (Nick) was waiting on us for fill up. Check in took under 10 min (including rental inspection) and drop off was quick & easy under 5 min. The van had Apple car play and was super convenient for answering calls & texts safely while driving. The navigation was a plus as well. Highly recommend Avis of Roanoke.

In response to my initial review, Avis adjusted my bill, removing the charge for an extra day. The prescribed drop off time was something like 8 PM so it wasn't like it changed anything about turning the car around, and I returned it clean with a topped off tank.I was a long time Enterprise customer, but didn't like all the smoke in the cars.I was pleased to see that Avis charges if you smoke in their vehicles.I would hope that Avis would have a grace period before automatically dropping an additional day's charge.When I returned the vehicle, the chap at the counter was helping others; it seemed reasonable that he told me to just leave the keys and paperwork on the counter. I didn't think about asking him about being a few hours late; he's just working the desk and doing his job.I think Enterprise would have spared me the additional day for returning 3 hours late

Clear directions, friendly smiles, and prompt professional attention. I was glad not to be bogged down with upselling and get my car so quickly and go! I'm not an expert, but the price seemed quite reasonable as well based on past experience. The whole Roanoke Airport was VERY user friendly and Avis was really excellent.

we had a wedding to go to in Fl and we live in va. My dad can't fly so i was voluntold that I would be the one driving. we We decided to make it a family vacation. So it ended up being five of us. So i rented a suburban for the week. I loved it and I'm considering getting ons. They were easy to work with and Just loved my over all experience

Several returns to same rental in a pair of sunglasses left in car. Called as soon as plane landed. Several follow ups in person. Theft. Pure and simple. DCA avis.

No cars available when I showed up. Only massive SUV’s and mini vans. The first SUV I was given had a broken mirror, I told the person at the desk and he just stared at me and didn’t care. That’s a safety issue! I had to beg the guy for a different large SUV that was extremely muddy to the point where I paid $10 for a car wash just so I could see out of my windshield and side mirrors, also uncomfortable to drive.This place is an embarrassment of a rental agency. My company travels to the area for work quite often and for my employees I will place this branch as rental agencies to avoid when flying or traveling into the Roanoke area.Takeaways: Safety is not a priority, Cleanliness is not a priority, honoring reservations are not a priority, and customer service is not a priority. Go to any one of the other counters.
