Last night my van stalled on 419 in Roanoke. I drifted onto a side street but was blocking traffic. I had no power. It was raining. I have had AAA travel insurance for many years. I called for roadside assistance and also called Roanoke County police. The officer was very helpful. AAA estimated an extensive response time & said someone would call me back. No one did. The officer called Fat Boys tow service. They came in a reasonable time. Shane was the gentleman who was able to tow my van to nearby Firestone. He was also able to restore power enough for me to put the window up , secure the belongings I needed & lock it. Shane then waited for me to complete the info & drop the key & for my daughter to provide me a ride home. He was so very helpful and professional. Thank you to Shane, Fatboys service & Roanoke county police.BSF

Was careless and got locked out of my truck 30 mins out of town. They arrived quickly and got my keys out of my truck within 5 mins of arrival. Quick, professional and took the stress out of a hectic situation.

We were on a trip when our RV broke down about 30 mins north of Roanoke. Not everyone can tow our rig due to size and weight and it was NYE! Luckily we were connected with Fat Boys through Geico. They were great! They were fast to pick us up, both the dispatch guy and the tow truck driver were very nice, and they went above and beyond to help us solve some additional logistical problems since it was NYE and almost everything was closed!I highly recommend Fat Boys Wrecker Service based on both service and friendliness!! Thanks guys!!

I "intelligently" put my groceries in the trunk of my car, closed it, and immediately knew my keys were locked in the trunk. Of course, I had not unlocked the car compartment yet, so I was stuck! After a few minutes of panic, I called Fat Boys and they said someone would be there in a half an hour. 20 minutes later, a "big rig" pulled in, and I was greeted by Seth, would immediately got the drivers side door open, and I was on my way! Very fast, great customer service, friendly and ready to help. Glad they take credit cards! Excellent service!

They are absolutely awesome.. I took a trip to florida and locked my keys in my car and it took 4 hours and three tow truck drivers from two different tow companies to get my keys out but fat boys gets in there every time within minutes and they are quick getting there... They deserve great reviews... Always polite... Just awesome! I appreciate y'all very much!

When I needed a tow there was nobody to go ! I thought they would take advantage of me in need but no one to be found, dispatch was extremely nice but they couldn't locate any drivers! They have a great location for a towing co and all the trucks to handle your needs ,they just don't have any of them moving when you need them ! Caution there are new people in the business and they were happy to treat me right , I was willing to let yall rip me off like you do all but no more ! NEW GUYS IN HOMETOWN! MUCH LOVE ! NOTHING LOST HERE !

BIG LIES told by FAT BOYS:-They do not charge $450, as told by the driver. It's actually $525, plus $150 cleaning fee , plus $150 for 'storage'. - NO, they will NOT give you time to get your stuff out! They will send you to their location on Underhill Ave, have someone unlock the gate and rush the hell out of you. We were there for 10 mins on the clock when the man there was kicking us out and being super nasty and rude!NO, you cannot go to their Underhill location at any time because there's NO ONE ever there! They actually have to call a driver to go with you to unlock the gate and rush you and watch you as if they owned your vehicle. The receptionist and her manager Sandy are both the most hideous, vulgar and disrespectful people you will ever meet if you DARE to disagree with them. Sandy will lie to your face even if you have evidence recorded and will not hesitate to be vulgar. She's a bitter, narcissistic, and lonely old woman who does not deserve to have the position she has. Treating customers who have been in an unfortunate crash should be for someone who is compassionate and empathetic. No one chooses to be involved in a crash. NOW, my respect goes to Kevin. He came to talk to me while witch Sandy was throwing a temper tantrum and was the most understanding person in that office! He listened to the situation I had faced with them and understood the hell they had put us through. He was apologetic and understood what they had done wrong. If it was Kevin running that place, I would say do business with them, but DON'T because its not him running that place! I'm not the first person to complain here, so, just know what to expect. Additionally, if you take a card to pay just make sure that you also have your ID, they have to match it. It's very unprofessional how this business is being ran, so, please, call someone else and save yourself the trouble of dealing with these people.

Jan 25, 2023\nThe battery in my key fob was dead also discovered the same to be true with the extra fob.\nI used the concealed key from the fog to unlock my SUV which did not recognize the key\nwhich sent off the alarm mode horn, flashers.locking steering wheel and leaving Tran locked in\npark. I could not stop flashers which killed battery. I called Fat Boys Towing to tow my 2018\nFord Flex to Magic City Ford. When the tow truck drive came in a very timely fashion, he said\nlet's try jumping the vehicle first and I will check it out with your fob with new battery. I did\nnot get the driver's name, but he did a great job. If I need to call a tow again I will definitely\ncall Fat Boys of Roanoke VA.
