I'm writing this review based on the most recent experience. However, I've had great service with Woody over the past 2 1/2 years of ownership.I scheduled routine service (oil change, etc.) on 10/17/23 for 1pm. I received a call today, 10/24/23 (72 hour notice) stating they couldn't follow through on the commitment. I certainly understand the dynamics in scheduling, however, I was told that it would now be one month before I could bring the vehicle in for service roughly 11/23/23. I have been loyal to First Team/Southern Team since the purchase of the vehicle despite living 5 1/2 hours away. I have scheduled family visits around service appointments given the level of service I have received from Woody and the team. Today, that has changed.Additionally, I have friend that still lives in the Roanoke area that had a check engine light on and he got the same response - about a month to get the vehicle in for diagnostics. How is this acceptable? I don't want to speculate on the happenings at Southern Team, but the customer service, specifically in the service department, has taken a nose dive.The bright spot was Tammy from the appointment center. She is making the calls to upset customers that no one wants to make. She was direct, yet kind about the situation. I asked a pointed question as to what is going on with the service department to which she professionally evaded and stated "these are your options and there aren't many."I will be taking the vehicle to my local Volkswagen dealership in Columbus, Ohio where I have had phenomenal service for all other warranty/recall work done over the 2 1/2 years of ownership.

Go see Dustin, he is great!! The process was so easy, and he was so informative of the new Atlas I bought! Also Jared in finance was great as well! Go and see them, I highly recommend them if you are shopping for a new car!

All of the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Inventory was great. Purchasing a vehicle with such ease is worth its weight in gold. Parking to look around was a bit of a challenge.

Sales consultant Dustin Clark was responsive and up-front in all the pre-sales communications. Answered all my questions and didn't put me through any games. Pleasure dealing with him. My options were clearly explained in talking with the finance person, but no pressure was applied; very refreshing. Highly recommend this dealership.

Herold was fantastic on my first visit to test drive the Jetta, and Luis was wonderful to go through the whole buying process. Jared was wonderful as well and made the finance process very simple and stressfree!

My Tiguan needed the roof console replaced due to it coming loose. I had to wait a month to get an appointment and they confirmed the console needed to be replaced. But the part wouldn't be in until the next day, so they offered to keep my car overnight and fix it as soon as it was in so that I wouldn't have to make another appointment and potentially wait another month. That was fine, but all of this was communicated through voicemail. The next day, I hadn't heard anything by noon, so I called for an update. I got the voicemail and left a message. By 3 I hadn't heard anything, called, same deal. I also obviously have the app that tells me when my car is unlocked/ doors are open and I hadn't received any notifications all day. I had my husband call at 3:45, he called the main number and requested to speak to someone. They said it would be ready by 5. As soon as he hung up, I got a notification that my car was being opened. Now, I get that the installation was quick and my car was ready when I got there. But I'm not happy that I couldn't get an update all day and then my husband calls and it's immediately taken care of. This might not be the case, but it's frustrating being a woman with the car only in her name and being ignored, and when her husband calls he gets his concerns addressed.

I was in and out of the appointment in less than an hour. Beautiful showroom/waiting area. Only complaint is that I had to schedule the appointment a month in advance.
