Fishburn Park is a decent park in Roanoke city with nice hiking trails, including a short but beautiful creek trail and a more challenging hilltop route. It is a great place for a short hike, with some easy parts and some areas where you have to climb. The park offers many places to relax and features a decent disc golf course, tennis courts that have been fixed and are playable, and child playgrounds with separate areas for big kids and small kids. Amenities include a great picnic shelter and restrooms. The park is described as a very nice area, though some note the grass can be high and the terrain can be a little difficult for strollers. It is seen as a great place to go and seemed relatively safe.
