Highland Park is a nice park in the heart of the historic southwest. It is a great place for children, located right across from the local school, and features a huge, well-maintained playground. The park offers plenty to do, including a soccer and football field, a baseball diamond, tennis courts, basketball courts, and a popular small disc golf course with frisbee targets. It is also home to the only dog park in the area, making it very dog-friendly. There are restrooms, clean and open three seasons a year, and picnic areas with tables and a nice gazebo.
