Currently here unable to due to the obnoxious people upstairs from my son and I. Self respect is lacking these days, whole I understand people are on vacation, I also paid over $300 for a night of REST after driving 10 hours of which I did not get due to the banging and whatever they are doing from 6 pm yesterday and started at 645 am this morning. If you have kids please do everyone a favor, get a first floor room!!! I always did and now I normally get the last floor but they were sold out and we were exhausted. I did call front desk and they said they would look into it buy then again there is only so much they can do. People need to just be respectful of others. Staff here is excellent especially the woman who checked us in last evening and conveniently located next to tons of stores and restaurants.
Walkability: Nice Mexican restaurant in parking lot which we had their shrimp tacos and grilled chicken. Did not disappoint

Good location next to the mall.
Pretty easy to hear other guests above and next to you, very loud doors to the rooms. Musty rooms. This Hilton is fine for the price, but my stay at the Holiday Inn on Ordway a week previous was more restful and enjoyable. Location and friendly staff don’t matter much when your room doesn’t offer much peace.
Edited to add that the breakfast offered at the Holiday Inn nearby is head and shoulders above the offering at Home2 Suites. I’ve never had breakfast at a prison, but I’m sure it’s not far off from the Hilton offering.

My stay was absolutely perfect, the room was clean and completely quiet even as busy as the weekend was. The gym had a brand new pelaton bike, and breakfast was fantastic. Staff was SO friendly, would 10/10 recommend.

My room had a lot of damaged items and was not clean.

The carpet kept turning my kids' feet black, but other than that, it was a good stay.
Rooms: Our room had a little kitchen, and it was stocked with all the stuff you'd find in your own home. I was impressed.

What an absolutely amazing experience my wife and I had with our stay at Home2 Suites. I had the privilege to be welcomed in by a young lady named Aliyah. (I sure hope I spelled that correctly. There are a few variations. Lol) This young lady was warm, accommodating, and truly made us feel invited into the establishment. Home2 is also pet friendly and has treats for cats and dogs at the front desk.
Our room was a king suite on the 5th floor and was spotless upon arrival. The AC was low, and the bed was donned with clean and soft sheets. The TV was huge and swivels to be visible from almost anywhere in the room. Also, the room has a kitchenette. The bathroom features a walk-in shower with shower soaps and shampoo provided, and they smell great too!
All this planted right in historic Roanoke, minutes away from shopping and eateries of all sorts.
In short, I would recommend this home away from home to all of my family and friends.

Pros first, it’s in a great location right off the highway and close to Starbucks in the AM.
The rest is largely bad or just weird. Got in at 10:45p, digital key of course doesn’t work so head to desk. Three trips to the desk with three keys that didn’t work. Get shipped from the 1st floor I purposely locked to the 5tj floor, whatever. Room is stale and noticeably warm. Wall unit says 66, there’s no way. I get into bed and it’s made totally upside down, sheet is on top? Remake bed, try to just lay still but it’s so humid and warm. Finally drift off the the fridge in the corner is SO loud must be a rattling part. Go unplug that. Back to try and sleep but bed is no comfortable which is rare in a hotel these days and there is just three micro pillows, all of which are obviously thick. I promise I’m not a picky person and maybe just an off day for the hotel but I’ll likely just go back to the Hampton Inn next time.

We booked in advance on the Hilton app for $200 and the first room we got had a nice layout with a dishwasher, larger fridge and freezer, glass dishware and a kitchen sink but the toilet was clogged and we spent an hour trying to unclog it (it was very late and the toddler had already fallen asleep) but it didn't work so we had to switch rooms from the 3rd floor to the 5th floor which was frustrating since we had a dog but it is what it is. Our first room also had VERY dirty floors. We walked around for a bit with white socks on and our socks were black/brown. The second room was nice but it was extremely frustrating in the first room. We didn't eat breakfast there so I can't speak about that. One of the only upsides to this hotel was the employees. They were very nice, helpful and understanding. But the front desk phone wasn't answered because the employees were almost always busy which leads me to believe that they're understaffed which isn't their fault but still can be frustrating.

This hotel visually was really nice and clean. And the rooms were appropriately sized. The only downsides I saw was the staff, who were unprofessional and not accommodating. Breakfast was also very strange. Minimal food options for breakfast and hours were very weird. I may stay here again if needed, but I’d reconsider other places before this one.

Great service, but the room was very dirty. There was a brown footprint on the wall when we got there and it did not look like they cleaned anything but the bedding and bathroom area. The breakfast was also not very good. Also the extra lock on the door to our room was broken which was not great.

I am currently staying at this location, the elevator lobby is extremely humid due to inadequate ventilation from the laundry sweat shop being run behind elevator #2. Also, plenty of luxurious non smoking relaxing lighted areas to unwind and enjoy, but I only found 1 smoking area tucked in the back parking lot. I have Anxiety, PTSD and a rare panic disorder and I have to sit in my car to utilize my prescribed medical marijuana so I can sit and not be affected by the elements. Not very disabled friendly to me. The staff have been fantastic, every single one. Has to be one of the friendliest hotels I've ever stayed in. No point in responding, I just read the other reviews, your just a greedy Corporation that doesn't really care. This will be our last stay with any Hilton Property. General Manager is unethical by hiring his spouse at his location I've heard. Just found out he changed the breakfast hours on the weekend so his bread and butter customers, construction workers, can't eat breakfast before heading out for the day on Saturday. This is Roanoke, not NYC. We're working class people, not rich 1%'rs. This Manager has no clue to who his customer is and is apparently customizing this Hotel to his own taste. The hotel is utilizing the elevator shaft to let the humidity escape from the laundry room. The ice machines are flooding. The higher you go, the more humid the hallways get. Once you get past the lobby towards the elevators, your hit with a blast of humidity, just like Florida. I wonder how much black mold has accumulated in that hotel. Not good. Can't wait for our house closing so I can get my asthmatic wife out of here before she gets sick. Oh, I finally found the formerly covered smoking area out front in the hot sun. I'm susceptible to Ocular Migrains without pain, so sun exposure is dangerous for me. I guess I'll sit in my car, like the desk clerk suggested.
