While I don't know the staff personally, I assume the checkout staff are fine. Lately, however, I've consistently found perishables on the shelves already or soon out of date. I feel that having unexpired meats, peanut butter, milk, canned peas, and cheese would be a basic need to meet for a grocery store, but I've found these very items for sale and unusable at this location. If you wanted to shop here, I'd say maybe just stick to the dry goods and toiletries.

This establishment shelves expired food — meats and cheeses included. I’ve unknowingly purchased spoiled steak and tuna as well as ricotta cheese that was over a month out dated. The fresh meat/sea food market is hardly that, and it seems that most of the product is spoiled upon purchase. The staff is friendly overall, and I admire that the store hires and accommodates those with intellectual disabilities/developmental disorders. However, customer service personnel is nearly impossible to reach by phone. Overall, the shopping experience and representation is not at all worth inedible products.
Photos: this was purchased on 05/18/2025, the sell by date is marked at 05/21/2025, the photos were taken 05/19/2025.

I have been shopping at this grocery store for over 30 years now. They have the best meat department and the best check-out people I know. I consider the Tanglewood Kroger my Primary place for groceries!!!

Every time I send money at 8:30 in the morning, they say the cloud is damaged and cannot be sent.

I received organic basil in my pick up order that was infested with bugs or mouse poop. In what world did that employee think it was ok to put that to sell in their cart. It was disgusting. Makes me rethink all the other food I got.

We stopped in late evening tonight for a few items. When we needed to check out there were no manned cash registers open. We begrudgingly went to self checkout. We had wine so we knew there would need to be an age verification so I scanned the wine first. The light came on indicating we needed help but no one was even near to help. After what felt like a reasonable amount of time had passed waiting for help I finally walked towards the customer service counter and was able to get the attention of Joseph so I thought the transaction would be completed without further issue. I did not expect the attitude I was given from him. He immediately said “I’m coming.” My response was, when you don’t have a manned checkout you should be waiting to help someone. He proceeded to tell us there was only one person working the front area but we could see 3 other people. I told him that management should do a better job. He then stated that the manager had just quit so things might get better. As a business owner I would never want my employee to treat a paying customer like he did nor share details about HR and management. Needless to say, we will not shop this location again. Photo of receipt added to confirm transaction location date and time.

There is a reason why I do not go to Kroger often anymore. I don't use their coupon that they send in the mail. Other than always pretending that they have a sale by putting a low price on the shelf but when you go to the check, If you are not keeping tabs you pay full price.
Some of their staff have no sense of customer service as I walk towards the checkout today 2 staff playing and the black male one infront of me stoop with his bottom up in the air right infront of me. They are just all round disgusting.
Then this red woman that works at customer service was gossiping about me with the staff, then when I went back to the counter had the gall to be fresh with me.
Their price is higher than every other store in town, Aldi BJ and even food lion is a better option.
My husband has not gone there for over 6 years because of their disrespect and poor customer service.
You are loosing customers one by one, continue down the path you are on. Use fake good reviews to cover how poorly ou treat people.

More times than not the customer service desk has a sign that says CLOSED. No kidding 9/10 it’s closed when I need to pay bills and take care of business. I always have to drive down to the lakeside Kroger because their service desk is always open. This is just more of an inconvenience because I live closer to ridgewood farms Kroger. The other krogers seem like the employees are more eager to help you, this one they will give you every excuse as to why do they can’t do something. And I know they can definitely do what I’m asking bc I worked for this company 3 years throughout high school and college. Worst Kroger in city when it comes to helpfulness.

3/2, 2:15pm I was verbally provoked for no reason by the self checkout female employee wearing a mask that looked like an animal face. Please replace her.

Shopped here many times. It is a super busy store so parking in a tight parking lot can be very tricky. They have refreshed the interior and now it is better laid out but still so cluttered and claustrophobic. If you don't mind a little bit of chaos, the staff are nice, everything is clean, and there are lots of food options such as a salad/olive bar.
