I’m sure they’re going to come back out and do the job correctly (no choice really because I’d be on them until they do) but was disappointed in my first experience with Safelite. Technician assured they’d have the glass installed in 45 minutes, said ok. Went to grab food, came back and they let me know the glass cracked upon the final step of installation. Soonest they could replace it was 5 days out. This meant that my family of 4 had to rely on 1 car for half the week when the plan was to get the new windshield installed before the week started. Not sure if the technician was rushing, but just unprofessional either way. No discounts or refund offered because of insurance, I just get screwed on their behalf. Why would you come with only 1 replacement glass? Are accidents by technicians not taken into consideration? 2 windshields on site at least just to be safe? Something might go wrong with an under trained technician? If not they need to re-evaluate how they do things, there’s a reason they’re the lowest rated in Roanoke. I’m going to let them fix it because they owe me, but never doing business with them again for any window replacement needs. Was told it was 5 days because the glue had to dry. Y’all don’t have the tools to clean up wet glue from a mistake? Would’ve got 5 stars if my glass was replaced same day. Being told I had to wait until they were ready without any discount or refund was the stinger. Don’t care if insurance is involved, something needs to be offered for the inconvenience and headache.

Safelite of Roanoke VA is a waste of your time. Don't bother with trying to get them to complete a repair for you because after you go through their maze of a phone system, they book you an appointment that they never show up for.Safelite told me that their repair person would come to my home between 1:00 - 6:00 pm so I took the time to stay home during said time but Safelite never called, texted or emailed me to let me know that they were not going to show up to complete the repair. I called the "local" phone number that I was given by the Safelite national call center gave me but when I called that number it only routed back to the national call center who is nearly as worthless as the Roanoke office.I called my insurance company and they referred me to another local glass shop to complete the repair. So, save your time and go to another vendor and avoid the time wasters at Safelite.By the way, to the Safelite office that responds to these reviews, please don't insult our intelligence by responding that I should call their customer service center to discuss. What a waste of time!

In replacing my windshield, a wire connected to my remote start device was cut by the technician. I have contacted the local Safelite office to have this repaired - left FOUR messages and was told each time that I would be contacted THAT DAY to get me scheduled and have never received a return phone call. It has been over 6 weeks since they damaged my car - will never return. Roanoke VA

Great experience. The technician, Jeffrey showed great customer service on the phone. Kept me updated on the status. His colleague Isaac introduce himself right away and was very friendly. The convenience of them coming to our house for the windshield replacement is great too. Lastly, they performed a flawless job on the windshield. Would use them again and recommend them to others.

Every call was horrible, I rarely got a live person. I was scheduled twice and the tech was a no show no call BOTH times. I went with another company because no one would help

You cannot speak with a person, went by the physical location twice in one day, no one there. Went to another window replacement down the road and got me right in, very good job. If you can afford to advertise nationaly, you can afford someone to be onsite at your office during work hours and a local number to call. Didn't won't to give 1 star rating, but that's the only way I can publicly post.

Had the windshield replaced in my 2023 Honda CR-V. 3-hr. job including recalibration of cameras and other windshield-mounted sensors. Very pleased with workmanship and the entire process from initial contact to completion.

I'm sure they normally do a good job, BUT. . .My experience wasn't the best. Bought my car from Enterprise. They called safelite to replace my windshield. They were supposed to call me and set up an appointment and never did. Enterprise called multiple times, and still, no one called me. I called them, and they already had an appointment set up for me and an inconvenient time, but it is what it is. I show up, and the guy pretty much ignores me for a half hour. I open the front door to get the bell to ring to get his attention. Turns out they don't even have my glass. Would have been nice to have been notified before I opened up my day. We rescheduled, and I get there a second time. I ended up waiting 3 hours before they told me they were having issues calibrating my car. Normally (from what I was told), it's a 1 ½ hour job. They did a good job, forgot to put my state inspection sticker back on because they were trying to get me out of there fast, they apologized for the wait. Overall, they performed well and they're very friendly, I'm glad I don't have to do this again.

Called the day after New Year's for a cracked windshield and I had an appointment the next morning. I had the car back by 3pm that day and the service people were nice. Would use again.

I had my windshield replaced by Safelite a couple weeks ago. The technician that came out to my house was super nice. The fact that they drove to my house and showed up at a decent time was pretty impressive. I was given a window of 8-1 that they would be there. They called to tell me when they were heading my way and showed up around 830 and were done in no time

Took my vehicle into this shop for a windshield crack repair. The guys were awesome!! They took care of the crack and explained everything they had to do. They took care of the insurance claim and were fun all around guys. Great Job Guys!!!!

Service in the store was excellent, but the customer call center experience was horrible. You are unable to directly call the store. I left my coat at the store and the call center refused to provide me a direct connection to the store.Safelite, please improve customer service.

So, had a mobile appointment today, time between 1-6 PM, two emails confirming this sent day prior and today. No one called to tell us no one was going to show up. Seems like Safelite needs to remind themselves that they have an appointment and now the next appointment for mobile is next Saturday. Scheduled through my insurance again for next Saturday, but not feeling confident, especially when I know they'll expect the deductible. Our time is valuable too, Safelite.
