Have called for months. As soon as they open. Over and over. Throughout the day. The last time they finally answered, they said they were closing early. (And yes, you have to call ahead to get a food box, you can’t just show up.)

Little difficult to drop off angel tree donations, then staff seemed annoyed/inconvenienced.

They make it extremely hard to get assistance on anything. Especially bills over $100 which when seeking help it's usually bc the bills.are over that amount. I've been there 3 different times over the past few years and have yet to speak with someone who didn't seem annoyed. It's hard enough going to seek out help without being made to feel bad for doing so.

Philip Priest and the folks at the Roanoke Salvation Army are the best. They have helped with two funerals of my wife's family, and were tremendously helpful to members of my family over the years. I am grateful that dedicated people are still willing to help those in need.
